Looking for some tips

Hey Guys, so a lot of decals require to write in a circle, like around an emblem or something. I was wondering if any one had some tips on how to keep the lettering even and not disjointed like.
A couple of examples of what I am trying to say would be the BMW logo and the Alfa Romareo logos.

Every time I try it looks ok but off a bit and I am never very happy with the result. so if some nice ppl would share with me their tricks to keep the lettering and spacing even I would be most grateful.

Thanks Phred.

Hey phred ;] I will try to help ;] If I need circular letters/words, I will place another circle and tilt/place my letters on that circle and remove it and eye it up and make adjustments as needed. hope this helps some ;] Try it a few times, see if it helps ;]

What he said.

just like Kool said is the way the go. Sometimes I will get all the letters spelled out then take the middle letter and place that 1st ( at top of circle ) then arrange rest of letters around it. That way you know that you are also centered. Then remove the circle that you placed to use as template.

Thanks for the tips Kool and CB. I thought I should show you the VG I was working on, so here it is the logo for National Corvette Museum.

Now another quandary. I have been painting since like 2011 or so on FM3. I have a whack load of VG’s I have done in that time. before I move on to painting in FM6, does anyone have any tips on how to organize my VG’s, In Forza 4, that will work in FM6. I have at least a couple hundred VG’s I have done for various cars. I am finding it is taking a long time to load and later find 1 VG that I need. A new system is needed. I have tried putting the VG’s on some cars, or in a large VG group containing and many as I can put in but it is still pretty cumbersome to find 1 VG I need. any tips ?

Please say yes, please say yes…

No real sure fire way since they are saved by date created. And since you wont be able to import them from fm4 you won’t have that problem for a while. One tip though … when you do start to get back loaded in VG’s and it is taking time to sort through them to get at. If you remember what car you used it on you could take that car to paint room “create new vinyl” therefore pushing the VG that you wanted to the front of your saved groups making it easier to get to ( just save over old VG save of same VG ) hope this makes sense.
