Logitech G920 + Nordschleife

A few days ago I bought a Logitech G920, without the stick shifter. Quite happy with it, only drawback is the stiffness of the brake pedal. I can only brake 70-80%, this makes it more of a challenge. But, I drive without ABS and that means I won’t have any problem with locking up my brakes. Another difficulty I came across was, when losing the rear end of a car it is difficult to keep it together without spinning, or losing a lot of time. Catching the car has proved to be a lot more difficult with a wheel. Maybe you guys have some suggestions, my settings are below. Those that are thinking about buying the G920, just do it. Yes the brake pedal is really stiff, but that can be fixed by changing the brake deadzone.

Steering deadzones: 0/100
Accel deadzones: 0/100
Braking deadzones: 0/100
Clutch deadzones: 10/100
Vibration: 30%
Force feedback: 40%
Steering rotation: 900º normal cars/ 450º race cars

I am a huge fan of the Nordschleife, have been there a few times but haven’t driven over it YET. So, one thing I wanted to do immediatly was driving in my upgraded VW Scirocco (B600) on the Nordschleife. After a while I got used to how the car reacted to the wheel and I was able to drive the proper lines. I managed to set a clean laptime (took me quite long) and my time was a 7.52

I will keep trying to improve my laptime, and probably set some laptimes in C- and A-class. My next B-class car will be an upgraded BMW 1 Series M, without any forza aero parts.

That losing the rear thing was happening to me a lot when I first got my G920. I don’t think it has anything to do with the wheel but more to do with the physics modelling within the game. It doesn’t happen to me so much now. I got better at it when I learned to read the FFB info coming back from the tires. I also found that listening for the tire squealing when turning was also a useful bit of info to pay attention to.
