Ok so earlier I was hot lapping trying to get back into the top 10 at Nurburg GP. I ran a few laps paused the game, and came back an hour or so later, and ran a few more laps. I backed out to the select a car screen and none of my cars would load, it showed all my cars in the garage by manufacturer, but no pictures so I backed out to the main screen with the P1 and now it says “load failed. An unknown error occurred. Please try again later” So i waited for a half hour or so and same thing, I turned off the box and reset my router, waited a bit longer for everything to boot up, and still getting the same message and it will not go past this part. I would love not to lose all my progress as I just got my console and game two weeks ago. I hear about this hard reset. What does it actually do? How do I do it, and most importantly will it mess up my current game saved? Thanks in advance guys
Ok, found out how to hard reset… Which is stupidly easy, did that and everything loaded right up, and all good for now. Thread can be closed
With a hard reset your just cutting all the power to the xbox so it completely turns off then on again, you won’t lose any data.
Simply press and hold the xbox button on the console for 5-10 seconds till it shuts off. Let it power down for a minute or two then turn it back on.
This is the best first step to do with any game/network issues.
