I know how you feel mate. If my game went down I do not know what I would do. I know you have put many hours in already and it makes me feel sick to think what would happen if I lost all the work. I honestly think I would pack it all in too. Back in FM3 and FM4 I used to have a well trusted friend who I used to gift everything over as a sort of offsite back up. Sadly its not possible anymore thanks to the hackers/glitchers etc
Wish there was something I could do mate. Feel kinda helpless.
@Snowowl - We don’t have customer service like you guys in the US…“The customer comes first” and “The customer is always right” is rarely exercised. You guys over the pond have certainly sorted that area out!

factory reset will work in some cases i have 5 gamertags this fixed 2 of them the other 3 try to make me start a new game.new game is about 6.5mb i have 20mb gamesave but it starts a new game so im waiting on a refund for dlc and then i will have to start fresh game and hope it don’t happen again.so much lost turn 10 could do a lot more to help i see people have had this problem since december yet nothing from turn 10 on the subject that i know of.good look duff man

Hey everyone, I’ve got the same issue and have been through the xbox support route. i was working with them for nearly four hours but still no luck on getting it sorted. They are now in the process of getting their engineers to try and fix the issue. Hopefully that works. Has anyone had any luck since, as I’m posting this 12 days after the last post so hoping someone has had some luck in the meantime. Cheers.
I set the console to factory default settings last night after getting fed up with the lack of help from XBox support (who were initially helpful but then just left me to it, although i did get an email from someone right after i did the reset giving me instructions to do all the stuff i had alreay done…twice. Waited over a week for that gem) & after reinstalling Battlefield 4 which is my main game on the console, my stats & the Premium Pack stuff including Second Assault & China Rising maps are all there intact.
Currently installing Forza 5 which will hopefully be done by this afternoon (off out shortly) so i’ll let you know what happens with it when i get back. Just wish i would’ve been advised to do this 1st as XBox support only said to do this as a last resort yet asked me to do a profile wipe on the game (pressing all bumpers/trigger/Y button) which deletes all your paints & layer groups so if i do manage to get back into the game & they have all gone it will have been a pointless exercise anyway. Just hoping it never worked as when i tried that it still attempted to do the sync & then came up with the same “Load Failed” message so fingers crossed but if i’ve lost all that stuff & i wont be bothering with the game again full stop.

Frown has been turned upside down, after resetting the consoles factory deafult settings, a full days messing about later i can now play the game again & i didn’t lose a thing…thank jebuz for that.
Feel free to locck the thread mods, drama over, all is well again.

That’s great news Duff, I’ve been dreading hearing it might have gone the other way.
you mods should make a sticky of all the repairs that work with step by step instruction. on downloads and updates i am going to wait until its 100% finished even if it has a launch game option at 70%. sine the game runs from the hard drive and not bluray drive i think having to read/write to the same hdd that the update is being installed to may be causing some of the errors
Yes!! Thankyou Duff Man D! I followed what you did and reset to factory default settings and can now play Forza 5 again without losing any game progress. Hopefully this will also work for anyone else who unfortunately comes up against this issue.

You’ll be alright Wayne, just takes a bit of time (a whole day in my case) reinstalling everything but all your paints, layer groups & stats will all be there once its done.
It’s back up now mate thanks and I just hope it’s ok when I next go on as I didn’t turn off for ages once I got it back 
I just figured it out without going to xbox support. If u go home then highlight your game hit start button and scroll to the right to see your saved game data. If u just delete the data off your console and not everything. The next time I started up forza it worked for me.
to Stocker Bros, I have tried a couple of things to resolve my problem: In my case when the game started it went back to the first race, after getting some advice from M$. What they said was it would take at least a week to sort out…Or if i played offline there’s no chance of getting any of my credits or levels. So I don’t know what to do ! as the thought going through all that again makes me feel sick.
i had the same problem i lost all my money and cars and progress and its reset me if anyone has a solution please reply
