Ahh from the new Hybrid Toyota Gazoo Concept?
Please, Turn 10, please for the love of god get rid of that VRAM usage message!!!
Last night you basically ruined my race at the start. I hit the wall because the message appeared just as the lights hit green. I started spinning and several other people hit me in the process, ruining their race too.
Whose idea was to have it pop up like that?? Just do it like FH5 f.f.s.
In the past 90 minutes, I experienced multiple crashes, several infinite loading screen, and one track disappearance.
Feels like the first day of early access again.
Same! Choosing liveries and just finishing some multiplayer races and exiting to menus it crashed to home screen Xbox.
" List everything you think is wrong with the game"
Well, I want them to dedicate a massive amount of resources to improve and correct all the car sounds, one by one.
Optimise the games so that loading screens don’t take forever or cause the game to crash. The telemetry calculator for number of laps every time I adjust fuel is really getting on my nerves now.
Continue to make improvements to graphics, HDR implementation, car modelling, lighting, etc. Still not where it should be but noticeably better than launch at least.
Get rid of FOMO as if it was never there, put in the grave and don’t lift the lid on that coffin ever… again!
These timed events are utter nonsense. Once an even comes, let it be there so that the career structure expands and improves.
Start improving the visual modelling on cars specifically, making exhaust upgrades SHOW UP on the car - I don’t want to drive around with small-diameter garden hoses sticking out the back when my car is kicking out 800 HP or more.
Consider an option to have replays running at 60fps
Get rid of those shimmering/glittery outlines around car parts and interior/cockpit parts.
Improve the track LOD, shadows, lighting, etc.
Improve track surface detail on all tracks, especially the ones that still look like they are from the Xbox 360 era.
A LOT wrong with the game still, but at least it’s better than launch and some fun can be extracted from it in limited doses.
Finally, be as good as or surpass GT7 in terms of quality and polish. ← Please take this last piece of feedback extra seriously, you guys are a long-running joke in gaming circles everywhere at this point, nothing was built from the ground up. Start taking the competition seriously, you’re losing players every day.
I agree with everything but this. Apart from the progression bug at launch its in worse shape now and is no fun at all, stopped playing it but will have to force myself sometime so I can grab that lambo
If only the Auction House was still a thing and I could walk away completely until it’s fixed, crash after crash after crash is not acceptable after 10 updates.
For whatever reason the game didn’t freeze or crash for me since Update 10. Maybe because I don’t play MP I don’t know.
Right. I actually do more Free Play than I do Career.
I don’t do any MP either and the game crashes for me every couple of races (after ending the event) either in Free Play or Career.
Perhaps the crashes are Xbox specific and in PRT mode.
I only played the career mode since the update and didn’t have a single crash, maybe I am just lucky.
Edit: Well I play the Steam version, maybe the Xbox/Microsoft Store version is less stable.
Can you check with other players and see if theirs is crashing?
After the latest update, it seems the Series X version is crashing more after ending events. Interestingly, however, I did 3-4 races in a row in the class-specific events in career (Reventon reward car) and not a single crash.
Interesting…
Very random, can’t really find a pattern.
I had a couple of races that it didn’t and thought it might be fixed but then it crashed on the loading into a race. Whatever they tried to fix seems to have actually caused more users to have it now. It’s simple to fix, they just need to stop whatever checks it is doing in that loading screen, might be software protection but more likely it’s having an issue updating the garage or your vehicles in the main screen as sometimes when it does work it drops one car ontop of the other.
Loading screens have also gotten very long. Takes longer than usual to get into a race and after ending a race, it can also sometimes take unusually long to get to the next event or return to the menu.
The worse is the telemetry screen when you want to adjust fuel to see the number of laps you get. Man… it takes up to 30 seconds or more…what is that nonsense!?
Someone said that there is no fuel consumption anymore. Something is weird.
I don’t have any of the performance things running on my PC, the game looks more like Project Cars 2 than the promo pics that Turn10 release. Got it so low it’s hardly even using any VRAM as I rather FPS over flashy junk
Well, my fuel is definitely depleting on both Career and Free Play but the time it takes to show the number of laps after fuel adjustment is just… it’s totally unacceptable!
Yeah I also prefer good FPS and not ultra graphic settings. The Digital Foundry settings are reasonable.
I use the * settings so without RT and all that fancy stuff. It still looks good and better than FM7.
Had to wait 3 minutes to update the fuel in the D Class open the other night at eagle rock and it wasn’t low enough so had to wait a further 3 mins to adjust it again, the next race it was almost instant. I notice it’s the first track of the day that takes the longest to load, the game must load alot of stuff into memory that’s used at most of the circuits I reckon.
The one positive I can say about the game since launch is that the FPS are getting better so they must be doing adjustments to get more performance out of the game
Nah I think you have just gotten used to the graphics in FM8
FM7 looks sharper and a lot more crisp, plus the track surface and water affects are way better, plus the vehicles and the UI and the…
