It was designed and engineered in the 90s (by the same man who made the AE86 btw) and it was released in Japan in 1998.
I think it would be great to see the rare Toms 280T with a tuned and turbocharged 3S-GE engine (not a swapped 3S-GTE I think, but a turbo’d last gen BEAMS 3S-GE that is in the RS200), or even just the bodykit would be a great addition:
I think one variant is realistic. I really hope for the RS200 to be the “base” car (but that’s personal preference, as I like it more than the AS300 or AS200). Either way, the others will be engine swaps I guess. Also, I don’t think it’s hard for PG to add the Altezza. It was already in FM4, maybe they’ll take the same model and remaster it, and both the 3S-GE (well, the 3S-GTE is in game actually, so the turbocharged version) and the 2JZ-GE (also just the GTE in game) are already there.

Who care? They can just edit the car model from 2004 to 1998, there haven’t been an huge difference between 1998 and 2004 model year expect different engine option, which can be easily done by swap engine in FH5. The chance we are getting Altezza in next update might be low since I haven’t heard a words about rescanning the model, but we do had “KFD bodykit” being founed in the game files.

Yeah there was a small facelift in 2003, but the differences are not too huge. Either they edit (I guess it has to be remastered anyway considering the last game it was featured was FM4) or, more likely, they introduce with a later series (either a Japan based series or a 2000s based series, would be cool to have more decade-themed series). Didn’t know about the bodykit, that’s interesting.
“KFD racing” is an Russian manufactor for body kits (they mainly focus on Altezza bodykit), so far they had make serval bodykit for Lexus IS 200/300 (Altezza), Lexus GS300 (Toyota Aristo), Lexus SC 400 (Toyota Soarer) , and BMW M3 E46. So we had 3 possibilitis here, PGG will either introduce Altezza (1998 -2005) or lexus GS300 (1997-2005) in FH5 with KFD bodykit, or they will just add more bodykit for Lexus SC 300 or BMW M3 E46( These two already in FH5 since launch).

Oh okay. I guess it’s still likely that PG will introduce the Altezza/IS at some point later or sooner, being so highly voted. Though it also took the GR Yaris 2,5 years to be added to the game, though that’s a production model so things might be different with the Altezza. Also, the GR Yaris was never featured in any Forza game before (I mean it would’ve been kinda impossible too unless it had been an update for FH4/FM7).

Well folks, looks like we are entering the last lifecycle of FH5. Since Backstage pass being introduce, we will expected less or fewer new cars on every update, what we will get is more Backstage pass and recycle car from the past. We are done here boys, but kudo to those 2000 + ppl willing to votes for this car

Well, FH4s Backstage Passes were introduced about a year before FH5 was announced, and I guess we are a year away from FH6. It could be 2026 but let’s see, I just want PG to take their time for FH6, all they need to make it a proper successor and a real big step up.

In last update devs added Toyota Soarer Z30, okay but we have Lexus CS300 now, but one moment. This is the first precedent since FM4 when we had one and the same car for different markets, i think we can to have Toyota ALTEZZA RS200 and Lexus IS300 in one game.

Just because the backstage pass is here, it doesn’t mean we’re “nearing the end” when there’s still a whole load of cars that need to be added, people need to stop believing all this
Of course, but you could say it was the same case for FH4. The list of possible cars that could be added will never end ig.
I bet 20 bucks that Altezza will never add to FH5 given the currrent situation, further update will be just more backstages pass + recycle cars from previous update. Cars such as MC20 will be add in the future since the names already being founded in the hidden files. If They add Altezza as car pack, I will give away carpack code for free to those who post the most in this topic like “Cooperyan”

Well let’s just see what they will add for the Track Day series after Back to the 90s, but I dunno if we ever will see another car pack.
