Leaderboard error

Have never seen this, yes lap was clean,have run wayyyy to many hot laps not to know a dirty lap

Hot lapping A class silverstone full last night, trying to beat a buddy’s time, chasing his ghost

I beat beat him by a small amount 2.07.3xx me a 2.07.2xx, saw the message pop up that I beat him. Ran some more laps as I was in a good zone, hit a clean 2.06.98x, stop shorty after,next lap I think

Cut screens tell me I’m 80th? No change? Also old lap time 2:07.8xx??? Starting to freak out! Hit x, got a message, unable to connect to servers try again or some crap like that. Backed all the way out, checked leaderboard , time not there!!!

[Mod Edit - DE] reload track, hit a 2:06.8xx in two laps!

Love the end to my story, but if I did not hit that time I would have been so upset,tying not to think about it,

Well at least you got back to your time. Thats happened to me 2 and i had to go back and redo them but thats just how it goes sometimes.

Most of the time, the lap you run is posted immediately to the boards as soon as you cross the line. You dont have to back out.

It’s why some of us, if we know we are going to beat our lap but dont like the lap itself, will dirty it before we cross the line so it doesnt get boarded.

However, if there is a connection issue to the server, you wont know until you quit out.

Its happen 20+ times. I figured it was connection issue. I have very bad internet. It always happen in longer hotlapping session. So I dont risk it.

Most if the times ,once I beat a ghost , the next 5-10 laps are also right there, perfect time for an even better time

I also have run 30-50 laps witout this issue.
Like I said, hope not to see it happen again

One thing I found is not to load the race, go have a smoke, then start the race. It almost seems like if the leaderboards are updated while you are waiting you don’t get credit.
