So far I have had no problems sharing photos, but today I took a Photo of the 2014 Ferrari AS Corse 458 GT and I could not share it. The language filter always pops up and says “there’s something inappropriate” about the photo. There is nothing. I tried renaming it, but I doubt “ferrari1” would be inappropriate. However, nothing works. I didn’t even write anything in the description window. I’d be glad if someone would try sharing a photo of the exact same car to see if the problem is just for me or for everyone.
The car is the 2014 Ferrari AF Corse 458 GT.
(Note: The exact same bug was in Forza Horizon 2, there was a DLC Lexus that I couldn’t share a photo of because of the language filter.)
Try naming it Forza or Forza10 and see if it works.
Edit: I just tried taking pictures of the same car, once naming it ferrari1 and once naming it Forza. Both worked.
We don’t validate the car name, so that shouldn’t be an issue.
ask them about the “AF” part of the car name and the filter.
So what could be the issue then?
I did the Time to Shine rivals challenge tonight. I took a photo just past the start/finish line looking back at the car and start line. My photo was named “Time to shine”, I put the car details in - Lotus 2015 E23 and tried a description that matched the photo name, “rivals” and a couple of others including blank. I kept getting the inappropriate content message.
This is the first photo I’d try to share.
I know it’s not the same car but there must be something funny with the filter so have posted here too.
I have had the same issue with the language filter with a photo. It was a company name I tried to write in the description field Kumho Tyres. Once I took the company name out of the description the photo uploaded. Seemed kind of weird, but I guess the name can be construed into something inappropriate, Anyway just thought I’d mention.
As we’ve said for many versions of Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon, the language filters are universal as established by Xbox Live. Neither Turn 10 nor Playground Games controls those areas, and we just need to try a different wording to get the item acceptable. Sometimes it will work if you combine TwoWords or leave out vowels like TwWrds. It is mysterious, but we’re the ones who need to adjust, unfortunately.
1996 was honestly the description item that kept me from sharing something once. The language filters can be totally ridiculous.
Border Patrol trips the language filter too. Seriously. I can’t put the word patrol on my Border Patrol Raptor replicas.
Attack is also banned which makes sharing time attack paints difficult, also the letter K is banned lol
Couldn’t post a picture of a gt40 on Le Mans. Just as a test, I shared a photo of an Aston with the same tags and name and it allowed me, this system is broken.
I experienced a similar issue with vinyl groups in Forza 5 a few times. It’d say that there was something inappropriate in the title or description, even when the title was “Forza” and it didn’t have a description. This could be the same glitch, but with photos.
It’s been a while, so I’m not 100% sure, but I think the solution in those cases was to make a copy of the vinyl group and delete the original. Of course, that information isn’t very helpful here, since you can’t copy photos in Forza.
XBL language filter is operated by a 900-year-old blind man with a brass hammer for a right hand and a shotgun. He’s drunk, and finds two-thirds of the words in the dictionary offensive.
It is what it is.

If you have complaints regarding the language filter, post on the official xbox.com forums where the appropriate people would view the information. There is nothing Turn 10 or Playground Games can change just for the Forza series of games.
Since the original problem I have deleted that photo. I could take a picture of the AF Corse Ferrari at Monza and I could share it without any problems. But there was definitely that one photo that I could not share. No matter what I renamed it to. It was a photo of the AF Corse Ferrari taken in the Rio Home Space. There was nothing in the description, and the photo name was different every time. I tried “ferrari1”, “Forza” and some other things, but the language filter kicked in immediately when I tried to share it. I deleted it in the end. Also, I could share the other picture with the “ferrari1” name without problems, so in the end I never knew what the problem was.
All I can do is that next time this happens, I’ll make a video about it and you’ll see it in action. Because I’m sure it must be a glitch somehow.
[Mod Edit - thread merged, try renaming the tune to “Forza” or something else - MM]
I triedto post share a tune and was given this message. Tuned was named “league RWD”, nothing in the description. Any ideas on why?
