You are in the top 5.16% not the top 5%.
The leaderboard should always round up to the next highest integer but doesn’t sadly.
EDIT: oops I just made the same mistake - you are in the top 5.17%.
Well that’s a bit disappointing. The game tells me im on the top 5%, I didn’t bother trying to improve it since I thought I was in… you know… top 5%. Would have been nice to know that was the case in both the regulations and in the game.

Wow really? If Turn 10 is gonna be like that, then update the code to reflect decimal points for leaderboards. People go by what is posted on the screen.

I m in the same situtation. Leaderboard showed I was in top 5% so I stopped trying improve my time… but actually, I m 832 out of 16399 so 5,07%

While I’m not in the range of the top 5%, not yet anyway :), I have been working pretty hard to be in the top 15% and for both weeks 1 and 2 now, I’ve been given the bronze livery even though I placed in the top 15% according to my times. I thought for week 1 maybe it was a glitch or something and for sure I would have gotten it for week 2 but nope.
Here’s a my week 1 time, and here’s my week 2 time.
I know we’re all having fun here but let’s be honest, you can easily get a bronze just setting a clean lap. That’s pretty simple for most people.
Hope you guys at T10 can resolve this for those experiencing these issues. Thanks!

So far I have the first 2 gold edition liveries for rivals…
This last one will be a little tricky to get, I’ve managed a top 2-3% in pervious rivals and so far I’m in the top 5% but after reading some of these comments about the 5% I know I’ll need to keep at it, but I’m not sure how much more seconds I can squeeze out…if any.
EDIT: I’m loving these paint jobs by the way, I’ll have to check out your ghost Triton, I’m hoping for darker colours for the next one, maybe like a deep purple and black

At the time of deadline I was 5 slots behind GrimGrnninGhost showing 5% on world leaderboard. I know you said he was at 5.17% and not top 5%. But if you have a change of heart I would be tremendously thankfull. To be exact it said 852 while his shows 847 on leaderboard. thanks inadvance for your time

I’m not upset that I have a silver livery instead of gold, just reporting a possible issue.
847 of how many? If there are less than 16,940 on the leaderboasrd then you may be in the top 5.1% but not in the top 5%. The leaderboard % rounds.
IT WOULD OF BEEN NICE IF BRIAN COULD OF EXPLAINED WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THIS A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. Yup a lot disappointed also I had at least 8-10hrs left before cut off time to improve. I admit I am not good in math at all so I did not bust out a calculator to get into detail. It said 5% so I gave my TX wheel a rest for the next Rival. I EVEN ASKED ON THIS FORUM AND ONLY GOT TWO REPLIES STATING THAT IT SHOULD SAY TOP 5% IN WORLD LEADERBOARD. Basically i kept trying until it finally said top 5% in top leaderboard. I am more than sure I could of squeezed a lesser time if I would have known. My goal was to get all Gold Car for Rivals like I did last week just as an achievement for myself.

Just for info, using capital letters in forums and chats actually means you’re yelling at people.
I will make note of that but just for info this is my first forum. I do not have Facebook, twitter, etc so I have no clue what your talking about. If TURN 10 has a chatroom 101 guideline about large text please let me know. When I see large text on an instruction guide I make sure to carefully read it as for it may be a serious matter. I guess an example would be like when you see the word WARNING in bold face letters. I am not yelling or nor did my bold face letters suggest I raised my voice. 9hrs ago I replied to firewheel58 using LARGE text but I was not yelling at him. I was just making sure that I was trying to be serious on the issue/question he had asked. Thanks again for the info.

You’re welcome man, it’s just a rule in online communication. If you’re using capital letters and the other person knows these rules you’re sending a wrong signal ^^
