I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before, but I set up a race event for the Kingmaker and set the weather for clear and fixed the time progression. I hadn’t even made it halfway thru the first lap and the blizzard struck lol. I am not complaining, I was just under the impression that I set the weather to clear, and it would stay clear, especially with time progression fixed.
i am surprised at this.
I can definitely tell you that if you do this in the main game, it works as expected. I run 6 laps of Goliath with weather set at clear and time set to fixed and the weather remains the same for the 1 hr+ for each race.
I set kingmaker to clear and time fixed late afternoon and ran 2 laps.
It worked. No blizzard.
My version is set for 3 Laps with a morning start and so far I have had no trouble either.
UPDATE: I have just tried it again and mine now gives snow conditions on all three laps but they do not appear to be blizzard as I do not have to switch to the bumper cam as I have done in the past. Strange.
I will try again later.
Ok, my first race was set as:
5 laps
Early afternoon
Clear
Time-fixed
I had a blizzard on the first lap
2nd race:
5 laps
Early afternoon
Clear
Time-fixed
I had a blizzard on the 2nd lap.
I can confirm it snows when it’s set to clear weather for sure.
On routes marked “Blizzard Warning In This Area”, blizzards can occur regardless of your blueprint settings. Such routes will have a yellow triangle.
I know about the blizzard warning triangle thing, I just figured blueprint would overwrite it. No big deal, but it’s funny how it only happened to me in this thread, lol.
Don’t worry man, I had that same thing happened along with some of my buddies. I know rivals has no blizzard. I’ve actually been getting at good amount of xp and credits for hot lapping, so I’ve been building and running that.
But it’s not just you, lol.
May be do a hard boot to clear cache.
I believed you, I was just pointing out it’s not across the board glitch.
I’m only guessing. And don’t have a whole lot of faith that cache is issue.
Sorry your having issues.
