1.) Remove the hopper. Before the hopper you could join a lobby that had a host or host a lobby yourself. If people were shady you can leave and find a new one or the race master can remove the riffraff. Yes, I’m aware forza has a vote to kick feature, it’s just not the same. It still creates frustration that others might not see. Eventually it becomes a bully system based on friend group size or someone in the front doesn’t see what happened. Since the creating of the party chat system people don’t communicate anymore so this adds to it.
Before the hopper we were able to configure the rooms, turning off assists, changing game types, forcing car levels on people to make racing even if someone was a bad drive. We had full control over all riff raff, we could race any track we wanted. The track rotation in the current hopper in A class for example is lacking.
This game used to have the most amazing leaderboards with very very tight competition. I have pictures of many of my top 100 times in Forza 1-3 that are separated by only .1’s of each other. Forza online community appears to be dying because the focus is not in the correct area.
I know these things wont be addressed in this version of Forza but is it possible to at least make public-private matches searchable and noticeable for new people. This would have made many just as happy. Make an option to find these games currently.
2.) PI Index. The leaderboards are gone. Please put the PI index back to the original 200/300/400/500/600 etc… Changing the PI index that doesn’t match A class… what happened? This stops the leaderboards from being fruitful, this needs to go back to how it was.
3.) Add electronic systems for modern cars like ACD, Dynamic suspension modes etc.
4.) Store fronts were awesome! You could find so many great tunes from people.
5.) If I’m in an A class lobby. I should be able to find any class car that is capable of a tune placing it in the correct class. We should be able to tune in the lobbies. The multi class tuning hopper is cool, except have no real control on tracks. I want to keep tuning a car as I go making minor adjustments in a lobby that is great and I’m already racing in.
I hadn’t played since FM4, got 7 cuz I thought I could jump right back into some Cat and Mouse, boy was I disappointed. Hadn’t occurred to me to research if it had been removed from public lobby system.
Had I known, I likely wouldn’t have got the game, it was the sole reason for my purchase.
The Storefront ingame and on here was awesome. We used to have viability of Rivals here on the webpage.
The stat pages we had access to was awesome, so many things we used to have that helped make this an awesome game.
One of my best friends always talks about wanting to play but has no credits to do anything, doesn’t have time to put into the game. I used to gift him cars I would build so we could race, along with paintjobs that I used to just paint and give to folks. And as somebody mentioned, hosting comps and giving out prize cars or paints or credits.
I would suggest that Turn 10 goes back and spends some time playing the older games and seeing what everyone is talking about for themselves. To me they’ve lost their way trying to keep up with games they’ll never keep.up with. Forza never will be Fortnite or Call of Duty. And it shouldn’t try to be. They should try to be the best racing game, and They can do it. Just refocus, regroup. Listen to the community, ENGAGE with the community.
I don’t know if this is appropriate to the topic as I’m new to this but I’d love to see the Eboladrome track from The Grand Tour TV show as DLC at some point, that would be a cool track to do some laps on.
I have to be honest, the PI system still confuses me… can someone explain it to me and why it is better than the old 800, 900, R3 system? Why is 819 PI class a thing now?
