I know that the decision would be finalised, but, please, don’t shut down the forums! There are thousands of dedicated players who visit and post here all the time, and some have been here for 15+ years. Don’t shut down this community

Oh, I agree. The forums are visible on the search engines. Forums are still very relevant as a magnet for traffic and as a promotional tool. I think it’s a mental decision to axe it myself.
It does feel like a move to further disempower the players. Maybe player to dev interactions will be improved (although I VERY much doubt it) but player to player resources will be significantly weakened, for both current and future players.

I wholeheartedly agree. A few reasons why:
Social media platforms are almost entirely focused on short form, in-the-moment content without an properly categorized structure. They are not a suitable for continually evolving and community driven games like Forza Horizon.
The forums contain a substantial repository of solutions to technical issues with the games that go beyond what even Forza Support have at their disposal. A lot of discussions elsewhere, such as on Reddit, link back here. If the forums go, all that disappears. That is a disaster not only for users but also Forza Support, who will be even more inundated with support tickets from people who could otherwise find existing solutions posted on these forums.
The forums provide the community with an official place to share hints and tips on how to make progress in the games, especially important for temporary and evolving content. For instance, players may want to share hints an tips on which car and tune to use for a seasonal PR Stunt, or help with solving riddles in Treasure Hunt. It also provides a place for more general tips on how to approach the game, which is important as that evolves along with new features added and DLC.
The forums provide a structured way for players to not only share ideas and suggestions, but elaborate on those between them in a productive way.
An official community helps foster long-term interest in the game and has been instrumental in shaping the series so far. Without those forums, the games would simply not have been where they are at.
Uhh no…& yeah, I would agree with the doubt paradigm, adding “highly” in front of it. The problem seems to be & always pretty much has been, that the main focus is on player engagement. Players exploiting the system seem to have a blind-eye turned their way provided they are “contributing” to the above focal point in some way.
The forums have allowed those who are passionate about the game to properly engage one another in the sharing of knowledge, creativity & general support which in the majority of cases helped promote the game as a whole. That now seems to be overlooked or deemed unnecessary in the shadow of other media platforms that don’t necessarily facilitate that same relationship.
This seems like a narrow minded decision by a suit. One of the oldest forums ‘Delphi Forums’ is still active and has been since its inception in 1983.
There are a million users over the life time of the forums, this is some serious history that is being ended here. Tried to use the Portal in the past days, but it genuinely sucks, it’s just sad.
Agree with the OP here. It’s a shame they are closing. A great official place where horizon enthusiasts can come together to discuss the game in a similar manner to the official forum for Microsoft Flight Simulator. I think this forum will be missed.
The new feedback portal loads slowly for me, if at all. I was able to get in a report (as a comment) about a missing loyalty car, but now I can’t load or search the list of posts on the Gameplay Bugs page at all.
I also don’t like how initial posts of threads in the portal are hidden behind another button. Furthermore, long threads in the portal require many clicks to reveal all of the posts, 5 at a time.
These forums have none of those issues. Please keep them alive.
