Good Luck and Happy Designing.

Sounds like fun!

I’d consider removing that requirement. I can’t see why you would need the unlocked paint in your possession to judge it, I would think that photos would be enough. Or you could have the creators upload it to the storefront, that way you could freely view the car while the file remains locked.

I have remove that requirement for the design comp. I’m sorry to all for putting that in there.

My entry:

The livery is also in my storefront in case you’d like to view it freely.

Look very nice man and clean

Thank ya! : )

Any tips on the sort of thing you might expect to see in a 4th July design?

Very informative that Windswept, I was more thinking along the lines of someone who celebrates the 4th not just the many, many things history remembers the date for.

Pretty sure some of the things on the list nobody is celebrating having scanned down it.

I was never much on history, I get its the independence day thing but other than the movie of the same name just wanted a few ideas from the folks in the know. I could just ask Google but I’m on the forums & it seemed a reasonable question.

Im guessing he ment all things american anyway

Its all good, will see if any more specific ideas are suggested. If not will try to come up with something along those lines.

July 4th is historically the day the big blockbuster is released too, that could form the basis of a paint

I think you hit on a great idea when you mentioned the movie Independents day. How are you at painting aliens? =)

Lol, I didn’t necessarily want to go there but I’ve always loved the movie.

Like red white and blue colors fireworks or flag anything basically that represents America

the last one you dont need to judge, i just thought it would look great with those photo settings

i also put the design on my storefront so you can see it in more detail

Hopefully I did this right!

4th of July is my favorite holiday.
As a military veteran, the date holds a special place in the heart for me.

Not sure about Flickr I have used it in the past - the links you’ve provided work if you copy the whole thing in to your browser - do you have an option on Flickr to copy a link for forums/ message boards? May just need to add image tags to that link if they’re not there already. i.e. precede your link with [ img ] and follow it with [/ img ] at the end (without the spaces).

I tend to use Tinypic.com as it gives you a link which includes the image tags and you can just copy that, may just need to re-size your images to fit forum limits before uploading them.

I’ve started something this afternoon, which may fit into the theme, will add that once I’ve finished it.

Cheers
