JorgePinto's Liveries (Update: 1979 Datsun 200ZX Turbo IMSA GTX complete livery)

Nice work here. I like the license plates.

Thanks!

New livery…it has been done quite a lot for the last 24 hours, but I think this is as accurate as it gets, the 1988 Jaguar XJR-9 Silk Cut:

The #121 version is also available.

EDIT: The livery has been fixed since. (Green front lip and Silk Cut spoiler logos in correct places)

I’ll be popping that one on soon as I boot up mate. Logos in right place on flanks, and the larger ones on top of front guards are much better. Looks great. The side sweeping lines at the rear are like they should be. Others seem either too long or not the right shape over all.

Great repos mate, excellent work. Shame we can’t do the unprintable sections as you’ve mentioned.

Will ‘like’ them soon as I have them on mate…

So glad this tread got pushed up top…

That Silk Cut Jaguar will be mine…oh, yes, it will be mine (insert evil laugh track).

In all seriousness, you’ve done a terrific job with it and I’ll be downloading it soon.

Your designs are magnificent! Really accurate designs!

Like that Jorge put the SS back where it supposed to be. Not sure why they removed all SS badging from Chevys, you can’t erase them from history.

Really nice job on the Silk Cut Jjjjjjjjjaaaaaaaggggggg!

Thank you all! Really glad to see the positive response.

BTW, I would like to ask for everyone who already had it, to please re-download it, since I made a mistake, the front lip is supposed to be green, and now it is:

Also the Silk Cut logos are now on the upper part of the spoiler.

Well, I’ve been working hard on a new livery, something I wanted to so for some weeks now, even if by now it surely has been done quite a lot, the 1987 Porsche 962 #17 Rothmans:

Some decals are missing (like the other 2 pilots names, or the labels for the emergency cut out switch) because of overlaping problems in the editor, otherwise, it’s a clean livery with no problems.

It’s prob the better of most Rothmans out there mate. Your attention to detail is very sharp.

Keep them coming mate, they are greatly appreciated by the wider group of gamers who appreciate fine work.

Shame you couldn’t get the emergency Cutoff labels on. Sometimes the demarcation of side-top-nose are just plain weird.

I’ve downloaded a few of yours in the last few days, and yes, I’ve ‘liked’ them naturally…

@XboxOZ360 Thank you! In fact I just reuploaded it, I forgot the 17 number on the front, and also I decided to add the 3 pilot names, but in a smaller scale. Now I’m happy with it!

Nice work on the Jag, another perfect replica.

Have you considered doing the Shell Porsche 962?
I did one in Forza Motorsport 4 but am no longer an active painter myself.
The Rothmans is great but everybody’s in a Rothmans and I’d like to drive something different

I think I’ll answer for Jorge here. The Shell livery, like many others, can’t be replicated due to how the 962 is mapped in FM6. If it was possible, I would’ve already done that (together with a lot more Brun and Joest liveries I had planned).

As it is, most famous 962s can’t be replicated; which is a shame, really.

And to get back OT: you know what I think of your work, JP. Lots of great stuff, you’re doing God’s work by fixing all the liveries T10 gets wrong.

Thank you so much!

I really care about doing things right, and having to reupload things once or twice is something I don’t like, it’s not really serious, but at least all my previous designs looks right now. I’ll try to be more cautious next time though.

Exactly right. Sadly it seems the 962 seems to be worse mapped than in FM4 based on the pics from FM4, it is now impossible to paint certain parts without serious overlapping problems, so it’s not worth it.

That already happened to me with the GT-One in FM5. I was trying to do the actual livery, with correct ESSO logos, but the issues were so bad I abandoned the project. I’ll try to give it a shot again in FM6, but I’m doubtful about being able from FM5 to FM6…we’ll see.

I’m with PJ on this Jorge. It’s great that you sorted the Rothmans, I’ll grab it in the morning, to late to fire Xbox games up here right now…lol.

But a real Shell livery is something not many painters look at. Many just choose the readily known brands, some create great pieces, some just whack a few lines on a standard paint and call that a livery…

But with your attention to detail, I’m sure it’d look amazing.

Perhaps offer it for a limited time so that the field isn’t full of Shell liveries instead of Rothmans …heheh, just a thought. My Silk Cut is still firmly attached and it looks harp flying around the tracks.

Keep the great liveries coming, they are a blessing to those of us not as skilled in livery design and the use of Forza
'S paint editor. I’m an old airbrush man myself, so it’s taking some time to adapt to the new approach to paint manipulation etc. I’m often blown away at the skill required to create some of the fine works shown in here.

Keep them coming…and give Shell some thought…??

And PJ, I think you should slip Jorge some of your other Forza 4 race liveries, especially the Porsche’s. They look great. Congrats also on a wicked career… I love seeing how true artist create their works… Very inspirational.

That’s a shame. I remember when doing the FM4 version that the #17 on the bonnet was very tricky, lots of distortion with the texture mapping and I presume it’s the same here.

Yeah, the mapping on the 962 is awful with the repeated surfaces, especially the doors/radiator intakes (and the endplates). Which is a shame as the 919’s been done really well, despite being a much more complicated shape.

Hopefully they will fix (at least some of) the most important cars in the future, it’s quite a shame indeed.

In the meantime, here’s a new one, my take on the Huracán GT3!
