Is there a way to list times for every car in the game?

Look at the replays and you’ll see the glitch I’m talking about, its easy to spot on long sweeping turns.

A lot of the top runners don’t even have a replay and that tells you something.

LOL, what it tells me is that you don’t have a clue. I really don’t mean to be offensive with that remark either… I don’t get the whole hiding of replays as it makes no sense to me at all, but it is somewhat common with the top drivers and its done deliberately.

Seriously, drop the attitude and accept that there are simply people out there who are vastly better than you. Accepting that fact allowed me to improve at this game tremendously. You stop doubting that its possible and start trying to figure out how they do it. If you try hard enough, you find that you can actually get really close to them (if not beat some of them) too. I happen to have quite of few of the usual names from the top of the leaderboartds on my friends list. I can assure you, they are not cheating in any way whatsoever. They are just ridiculously fast.

Like I said to you early on in this thread, you really need to focus on improving your driving. Getting a better car/tune can help, but so much of it comes down to your driving ability. I know that I drive the same car/tune as Simmo, oo 3x oo, and Zermatt on a lot of tracks. I can’t compete with them though as they are just that much better than me. Guys like Chronic, EMW Raul, and TPR Lou, destroy me with cars that are a lot harder to drive than what I drive. Again, they are just better than me, they are not cheating… I’m ranked somewhere in the 40’s overall in D class and there are guys ahead of me that make me look really slow.

As to the drivatars… I can tell you that they aren’t unbeatable. In fact, they are rather easy to beat (IMO, they are WAY too easy to beat) once you get good enough at the game. Race against the drivatars on unbeatable level until you are able to beat them consistently. Once you can do that, then go to rivals and start chasing the ghosts of the top players. The ghosts of the top guys will be much much harder to beat than the (un)beatable drivatars.

Some people who hide replays have been totally open about why and how.

With regards to how one method is mentioned above. Another method or accident is if you set a time in monthly or vip rivals the time carries over to the main leaderboard but not the replay or ghost.

People hide replays to stop others getting any info that might help them and to not provide a ghost to chase, it has nothing to do with cheating.

I watch top replays all the time. I wish I was closer to their ability but i am not. There is nothing about their replays that is screaming cheater at me.

You should investigate or ask for help regarding how to get quicker. Your accusations are holding you back because you are probably thinking a 1.15 is the best legit time somewhere when the reality is the 1.12s you are seeing are legit (examples).

Read RPM Lous thread in the racers lounge to see his story of climbing from top 100,000 to top 20’s unless he has got quicker again lol

You really need to drop this belief that cheating is happening because it is holding you back due to judging what is a legit quick time to aim for.

In summary to get quick you need to know or learn how to drive quick. I suggest using spec rivals for this.

Next you need a good car choice and build for the track you are driving on. Auto upgrade or one size fits all builds are usually slow.

Then you need a good tune.

Then you need to improve your driving skills, then you need to improve your driving skills, then you need to improve your driving skills. Ask questions - a lot of the quick drivers are helpful probably only if you drop the cheat accusations though.

.

The fact that you can’t keep up with the drivatars in the lower classes suggests that you simply don’t have much skill as a virtual driver, not that the game is breaking its own rules in order to beat you.

As for your LB remarks … poppycock. Throw away the tinfoil hat and try practicing in the lower classes instead. Anybody can point and shoot an F1, but keeping up speed in D class is an art that will surely teach you how to take a corner properly.

Dude you are so wrong… omg…

why is there no replay? If you race as a top racer a really good lap then you rewind after start finish line, so now it wont be able to look replay, reason is that the guy wont let other people watch the replay for chasing him in the rivals time attack! everyone can do this, try it with yourself and you will see that there is no replay available, thanks for listening and stop with words like cheating!

I get the frustration. It’s tough when you give it your all and get your posterior handed to you by somebody who seems like they aren’t even trying. Just happened to me. I was in the no-collision room with Alpha. He dusted me by five seconds a lap in the Lotus Elan. At Road America. Didn’t matter that I was in the top car for the track. Didn’t matter that I set a PB during that race. Alpha is that much better than me and I know it.

After it happened, I didn’t think “Cheater! Hacked car!, etc…” He’s just really good. I just watched him set a top 100 time at Road America in the Elan (which is a LB car at places like Catalunya, not Road America).

Lou’s right. Excuses won’t make you better. Practice will.

The gaps in the lobbies are ridiculous.

What people need to understand is top 1 % in FM5 can mean many, many seconds off top spot. But it is still top 1%. There are not that many people in FM5 who know how to drive the fast cars fast.

The reasons for it include top builds and tunes combined with knowing how to drive fast.

I think it was ERS Johnson who posted recently (if it was someone else I apologise) “I put the hp in the build and then tune it to turn” or something similar.

Yeah, well, those are my MP options:

No-Collision: Get butt handed to me repeatedly by DTM guys, Alpha and a few others (to include some guy…SatNite something or other)
Collision: Get smashed into every race. I actually ventured into collision-land for a bit yesterday to quickly pick up the Start-to-Finish cheevo. Got it. No desire to return to that cesspool.

I have been smashed by EMW Raul and others on occasion lol.

My point is more for the OP that it is hard to judge based on times because once you get to the top 0.5 % or 0.1% times are still quite varied. Is top 1% something to see as a worthy goal - for sure but there will be someone out there who can still go that much quicker.

To find the best cars look at leaderboards and not just see what car it is but also try and work out the build. Listen to the replay. Is it stock motor or something else.

Once finding the car do not autoupgrade. Find a tune from one of the top teams or drivers. If the car feels weird stick with it and learn how to drive it

I found a way to find the best cars, just look at what the winning drivatars (AI) are using.

Leaderboards are waste of time, too many cheats messing the data up.

Now how are you going to work out a quick build and tune for those cars?

How are you going to work out how to drive them quick?

Your ignorance is amazing. I hate to say this, but its most likely true… With an attitude such as the one you have, you suck at this game and always will.

You got advice from some of the very best drivers in the game throughout this thread. You chose to ignore it all and continue wearing the tinfoil hat (credit to Mick for that line… I like it). You really have no idea what a whiny loser you come across as… oh well.

Some people just cant accept that everyone you meet knows something you don’t, and no matter how good you are at something someone will always be better

[Mod Edit - Think again - D]

@Tox Laximus - With the quick cars you have found by looking at drivatars have you looked into various builds. Putting to one side your views about leaderboard times the reality is to be quick in any given car you need the right build, a good tune and then drive it right.

The choice of car is important but it is one ingredient of the 4 keys to being quick:

  1. Driver skill
  2. Car choice
  3. Build
  4. Tune

Putting top time down in C class:
Driver skill
Knowledge of track
Many laps

Cars
ERS johnson '74 celica for power tracks
FRS jose Lotus elan for short tracks
DTM lionel 78 '05 subaru for momentum tracks

I want to submit a formal protest. We in the Forza community have been robbed by the mods editing the last post from the OP. He has enlightened us so much in this thread with his wisdom, how could you mods deprive us of what he has to say? After reading his posts, I now know that everyone ahead of me on a leaderboard is cheating. Chronic, DjChris, Simmo, Zermatt, all of them… Since I know I didn’t cheat, and I now see the light, I consider myself the overall leader on every leaderboard. I plan to petition Forzastats to reflect these changes on their website. All you people out there are terrible and should be so ashamed of yourselves…

I do have a question though, if you don’t lose to drivatars, how are you supposed to know what cars to drive? After all, the leaderboards have been declared a waste of time… If the second place drivatar drives a Jeep and I beat him by 5 seconds a lap in my Mini, do I stop driving the Mini and switch to the Jeep? Or do I now drive the Impala on Catalunya? I’ve seen drivatars driving that, so I should be able to get a #1 time in it on that track, no? I’m so confused…

Speak to people who are quicker than you. If you are not offensive they might be willing to help you learn how to get quicker. At the moment the main thing holding you back is your attitude.

Sadly, that’s not going to happen. One thing I learned very early on with this game, and this forum, is that when players on the level of Simmo, Sch1wo, and Swerve offer you advice, listen to every word of it.
