as the title states, anyone else having major issues like me?
Battlefield 4 is broken across all platforms, its the game itself and not the X1, its broken to the point that EA’s own investors are taking them to court. Ghosts I have heard some minor issues on the X1, but also similar issues on pc and ps4, but not come across any on the 360/ps3 versions. NFS rivals, I have not heard of any issues personally, same for Ryse. Had an issue on forza 5 with the Caterham graphics glitch, and one crash to the x1’s dashboard while exiting a private lobby, nothing since though. I think some of the issues are caused by the X1 itself, and I believe MS need to update the X1’s software. In some instances it goes very slow and clunky if instant on mode is turned on, plus a few issues with online play, the work around is to turn the X1’s instant on mode off. I have not had any issues since doing so myself.
Currently I own Ghosts on X1 and 360 (wanted to see the difference between old and new platforms), Ryse, and FM5.
Yes and no. It really doesn’t have to do with Xbox One . Just about every new “big” game from a series has some sort of issue they need to patch. Many games have a day one patch to fix stuff they found after the ship out the game. I think it just seems that way because so many games came out at one time. The fact there were so many at once make it seem worse. Normally you only see one or two bigger games out in a month.
I think most would agree that both new systems and the games were rushed a bit and right now we’re just going through that phase and everyone having to work out the kinks in their system and games. Remember that we’re still only a couple of months into the new console gen.
The games i have along with problems:
NFS Rivals: no problems
Dead rising 3: no problems
AC4: every so often bodies will float up after being killed
Zoo tycoon: no problems
Forza 5: no bugs or glitches
CoD Ghosts: (from 360 experience, the game might be bad but it generally CoD makes it across platforms with few glitches): no problems
Finally…
Battlefield 4: stupid amounts of problems (which are across all platforms). So much i’m not going to bore you with posting a huge 72 page list of the problems that it has.
Honestly the only game that i feel it broken is BF4 and that is somewhat playable now, sure FM5 is a “bit” of a mess but the kinks need to be ironed out, the next Horzion/Spin off should be decent in some ways (well it needs to be to compete with the crew) and may finally give us weather, a large map and 300+ cars which would then pave the way for FM6 with more track, 500+ cars weather ect…
It isn’t just you that’s noticing that many of the launch titles on both Xbox One and on PS4 are having some issues. Not having a lot of games doesn’t really help the situation either. I don’t have many games with my XB1 so my experience with it has been alright. I can vouch of BF4’s brokenness that I actually regret getting the digital copy of that game. The story was stupidly short and the multiplayer is very plagued with problems to the point that I can’t stand playing it for long periods.
Personally I would say to give both the PS4 and the XB1 time before we start seeing that next gen take it’s rightful place.
I think nfs rivals has the worst implementation of voice commands and “always-online-ness”.
Any casual conversation sets off the voice commands, I’m talking words that sound nothing like; turn around, look behind, and map.
I’ve resorted to playing offline so that when I crash because of the camera doing a 360 around a corner I can curse in peace… but even that won’t enable you to pause the game, even offline pausing just pulls up the map.
Without voice commands, and maybe better cop/racer balance, it would be a lot better but as long as I’m playing by myself its a decent game.
