I think it would be a good idea for T10 to introduce Car Packs in addition to the free updates. This would help bring more new content without having to wait too long and could also help the developers better distribute the cars.
They could include more modern race cars in these packs, while keeping a steady pace of 1 or 2 new cars per update, along with bringing back cars that we’d love to see again mainly race cars, since, personally, I think Horizon does a great job with street cars.
As a user who has paid for the full pass and knowing many friends who have done the same, if you offer the cars the community wants even as paid content they will gladly accept it, as long as you don’t take away from the free content.

They need people to buy the game first.

Considering the current state of the game & its history, this would undoubtedly be a doomed endeavor with a backlash that would make a bad situation worse.
…But considering this company’s tendency for making game-killing decisions, this might be near the top of their list.

I would appreciate paid car packs.
Cars are the content I’m most interested in because they provide the most value for me.
Thus, the Car Pass was disappointing because most of it were race cars which offer nearly zero car building options.
Couldn’t find data for Motorsport 1 but from 2 to 7 every Motorsport had car pack support - every Horizon as well.
The lack of them here further cements my impression that T10 already lost interest in this game.

I was also disappointed with all the race cars. They never feel like you’ve made them you’re own. Certainly not “built not bought” as the saying went.
I’d pay for cars. But I want lower class, older, rwd ones.
I am for this would allow me to use my reward points that I have been accumulating for 1.5 years for this game.
On the other hand, looking at the pack of cars, if it ends up with “Forza” type crap it will be without me… real nonsense!
I wouldn’t mind tossing 30 bucks for a DLC pack, ofcourse depending on the cars.
But I’d rather have the option to buy individual cars, like I’ve done with Car Pass.
Let’s see them add content to the game first. Over a year in we still only have the Builder’s Cup in single player and monthly removed content. The game is very bare bones for a racing game of this type. Compare it to older Motorsport and Gran Turismo games and see how much time you could spend there in the career mode. You can complete FM8 Builder’s Cup and the monthly races in about a week.

Wouldn’t that be a unfair advantage. Some people will say it’s pay to win & charging more what we already paid for that should of been from the start but all we got was a early access level of ‘‘quality’’ on the other hand how i feel about this. Is mixed about this idea but if they are able to keep the car packs at reasonable prices I’m all for it
I liked the idea of the Porsche 963 being a free pack for its first week, and then paid after that. It rewarded the active players while still keeping a revenue stream open for the future.
Overall though, not a fan of paid DLC for this game. Even if Forza Motorsport never added another car or track for the rest of its life, I would be happy with the existing content.
I personally want all of their efforts to be placed on improving the existing game with new features and improvements, rather than expanding it with new content.
If they were to follow your suggestion, either they’d need more staff to make those cars, or they’d cut them from the existing ‘free to earn’ model.
I pre-ordered the Car Pass because previous Forza car passes had a variety of cars, from the sublime to the ridiculous, making them good value. This one had a few cars that were deemed too OP and ‘pay to win’ in multiplayer, so got nerfed. The FOMO nature of the singleplayer ‘career’ means new cars must be bought every month, so the Car Pass ones don’t get used. To me, it wasn’t worth buying and I won’t shell out again.
Paying extra for missing content will not make FM better. T10 has money from literal Microsoft, the execs can give some of it to the people actually responsible for the game.
