Include Xbox Gaming Services in the Steam Version of Forza Motorsport

Yep. If Team10 wants good reviews, they’ll have to earn them. Supporting Steam Deck through a very small addition to the game files is a great way to do it and turn around their negative feedback.

Still waiting on this.

Unfortunately, from what multiple sources are saying, the team has been disbanded. We’ll most likely never get this to work on steam os.

I purchased this game on sale presuming it would work like the “Horizon” games, but when I finally had time to play and tried a few weeks after purchase, I found it did not and ran into the “Microsoft Gaming Services” crap. - I contacted Steam Support for a refund, explaining I cannot run it, but while they say “we understand the situation”, they also go “not after 2 weeks, bub”.

I simply do not run Windows and there wasn’t a warning about this. - I’ve been put up with a non-functioning product for 30 Euros. - Thanks Microsoft/Xbox/Turn10/Valve!

I will make sure to avoid Microsoft/Xbox products and purchasing from Steam directly where I can from now on. - American companies are the worst.
Also, lesson learned to look at ProtonDB more often, I guess. But I did not expect a completely “borked” case with this one.

That said, there might be the smallest chance that updates, if not just quality-of-life or technical updates, might still come out from the Turn 10 people left now supporting Playground, but still, this is a mess. - Microsoft/Xbox needs to support this product, period.

Replying for visibility, although I’m losing hope to ever see this come through, since the recent news about T10.

HOWEVER,

as the Steam/Proton developers stated, they are keen on implementing a fix, but they cannot do it without developer input. Given the fact that both FH4 and FH5 have gold and silver marks on protonDB, there is no argument that could convince me that it simply cannot be done! Even Proton developers stated they’re keen on fixing it, but they cannot proceed without developer’s input! The issue lies with the way the xbox verification is implemented, which is completely backwards compared to how modern games do it.

If there is anyone with half a heart left in this company - please, I’m literally telling you how to make more money off of this game with a minimal effort.

It’s not just you who is losing hope. Thank you for your wise input and proposed solution.

There’s no point fixing this if the studio lost half it’s employees, EOL is closing in, and the game still doesn’t have an offline mode…

Please support the offline-mode initiative here before it’s too late:
