This week we’ll be taking a look at the latest DomesticMango masterpiece as well as the liveries of Stuzib85, a longstanding member of the Forza community whose painting career stretches way back to the first Forza Motorsport game on the original Xbox.
Enjoyed the Stuzib85 feature which makes me want to design a turn 10 pick livery too.
Thanks to Stuzib85 for the shout out and I am tickled to hear of his surprise at seeing one of my winning photos of his Forzathon R18 livery in the InFocus newsletter.
Thanx for the kind words guys!
Was an honour to be part of In Focus.
You already know my appreciation for your amazing paints, Stuart. Top notch work on each one of them. Thanks for the mention and for using my pictures, I’m really grateful for that. It’s always great to see some recognition from the community and I’m definitely glad to be part of it.
Hello, my name is Rodrigo and I would like to congratulate Stuzib85 for his work which is very good because the art of creating beautiful liveries is not for everyone, but his work is something of a true artist. For some time I follow the work of Gr333nz, which is also very good … Congratulations to all true artists who present us with beautiful Liveries.

Im heading for Forza right now to find a Batman livery like that.wow. And yeah i thought ppl were importing stuff also. But the things they make and the time put into them just blows me away.I do wish i could keep them on cars when i sell the cars though.taking off the graphics just takes all the appeal away from the car.esp when u have that perfect mix of kit ,car paint ,rims and graphics.

That being said, my son Spiderxander02 has a collection of my work on his storefront. My wife, Hostess Whoopi, has my paints on Horizon.
Congratulations on your feature Stuzib85, sometimes simpler is better when it comes to livery design. I love to ask questions of the in focus contributors in order to find a way to make my own simple designs better. You are a great vinyl maker. Forming the basic elements of vinyls continues to give me a hard time. Some are capable of amazingly complex designs yet I struggle to translate simple images within the paint program. How do you go about putting the basic design down and making sure that everything is proportioned correctly? How do you recreate the more intricate designs such as Batman and Alien? Are they transferred using a transparent sheet over the TV screen or do you use a printed image or tablet beside the screen to go off of? When you mention using a grid over an image used as the basis of design, is this done within a photo editing program? As a side note, I’d recommend a Punisher themed car in your style. Now that would look pretty sweet.

Hi Kdogg788!
Those are some good questions.
How I build the intricate shapes like hands, teeth, heads, etc: if I can’t build it using the basic shapes, then I’ll build the outline using a curved line (primitives) and fill it with circles, adjusted to fit.
I wont fill it in until I’m satisfied with the outline, until I know it’s reasonably accurate.
This gives me a single vinyl to place that is the custom shape that I need.
How I get the shape right is by having an image beside me to reference. I started off printing images, now Im using my phone. Helps me get the shading right too.
A great source image can make a design awesome. Especially if you find images that look great but arnt too much work. A lot of black helps!
And the grid, I just built a grid on Paint on my pc, then emailed the photo to myself so I could download it onto my phone.
Hope that was helpful!
Feel free to get in touch if u have any more questions.
I’ll be on Twitch tomorrow night (Thursday 04/09 11pm UK) starting a new vinyl for the paint I’m doing at the moment. Come along and have a look as I will be using a grid to build the outline and fill the vinyl.
Thank’s alot ill go checkout your son storefront
and good luck on future livery’s stuzib85. Got some of your stuff on you son’s sf thank’s again
Stuzib, just to clarify, when you say you fill it in with circles, is that to mask the areas that you don’t need and to sculpt the line the way you want? Do you ever have issues with layer count doing it this way? I had a really generous painter share a design with me that really pushed the layer count, but opening it in paint pretty much stalled out the console. Do you have problems with high layer designs bogging down the Xbox? I’ve thought of printing images and then transferring them to a transparent sheet to trace them. Could this be an option? In lieu of using your phone, have you thought of perhaps using a laptop for the base image? I’ve tried my iPad, but the iPad wants to dim and go black when not being touched and constantly displaying images drains the battery faster than I’d like.
