Very recently the Forza community was extremely saddened to learn of the loss of Steven Brieno aka Doodley Squat, one its most popular and well loved members. As John mentioned in last weeks “Week In Review” Doodley Squat was a much loved member of our community and I felt it would be fitting for me to dedicate this edition of In Focus to paying tribute to the man, and his impact on many of you in the Forza community. My personal thanks each and every one of you who submitted something to me for this article, it’s greatly appreciated and the sheer volume of messages I received is a testament to just how big an impact Doodley had on many of your lives.
If anyone has any memories of Doodley they’d like to share, please feel free to do so in this thread.

Not being familiar with Doodley Squat.
I would still just like to leave my condolences to his family and friends.
after reading all the tributes to him I can see he was a very liked person.
I’m still going to miss him. That wonderful night, somewhere in the first two weeks of December, I raced with him for the first time. And the last time. It was the Paul Walker Memorial Event. Now, I will race… for him. I watched the Tribute Video a thousand times. Why? For his acceptance that I was very young. When I first saw the news (from the signature of Diesel), I thought it was a terrible and horrible joke. No jokes… I feel sorry for his family, it lost one of the greatest members that family has ever had since the beginning.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to race or compete with him again. I tried to send him a friend request every time I was on, but since people loved him too much -like me-, his friend list was full.
Steve, thank you for what you did. It was magical on the Memorial Event of Paul Walker. That explains why I will participate at two weekends of events for your death. You will always be there in my heart.
R.I.P.

A few days ago, I saw Dribbly Midget post a comment RIP Doodley Squat. I was confused and thinking to myself, “Did Doodley quit Forza for some reason”. That can’t be so.
Then I remembered the strange message I receive from him about his father and it hit my like a ton of bricks. The message wasn’t about his father, it was from his daughter about her father.
Now for the past few days I have been reading all over the forums about the man we all knew as Doodle Squat. I turned on my 360 to look in my Forza 4 garage to remember all of the designs I got from him from comps and auctions. So many good memories. He won a design comp I held about a year ago and he didn’t want the credits. Amber, if you ever need credits for Forza 4 just ask and I will give every credit I have.
Doodle Squat brought energy and excitement to the forums. I haven’t been involed with Forza 4 since 5 came out but I still enjoyed reading the almost daily messages from Dood. I miss them very much. He always had a possitive message and a giving spirit. He was Mr. Forza. He loved this game and the community soo much. He was also so proud to be part of DeadLights Kustoms and it showed by his constant commitment to the Comps and Auctions. He will be missed.
I am glad I had the chance to meet the man I called Dood.
.
A fitting article, and the loss of Doodley has been something which has hit me harder as things have sunk in.
I’ve spoke to him a few times, exchanged plenty of messages through XBL, and got involved in many a community event with him. When I clashed paths with him, I cant remember, but its all the memories that during the time I have known him which really show how much of a people person he was. Always the one to be brightening up wherever he was. From the fun times racing against him in the DLK Nascar wednesdays event, to the blowouts and photocomps, the Halloween lotteries, to his presence on the forums, you knew he was one of those guys that you could approach and be honest and yourself, and he would welcome you.
One standout memory I have of him was helping out giving him a second opinion on the Deadlights Donna SL Gullwing, after he released the first version of it through the Poker Run event. Being a huge fan of his work, I remember he approached me about the design, asking me what I liked, what I didn’t like, and any ideas I could suggest. And just talking to him, throwing things back and fourth, it lead to the second version, which for me, is my most treasured of cars in my FM4 garage (I’ll grab a pic of it).
I wish I could say more, but he’s not just another forum member. He was a true gentleman, a kind fellow, with a heart of gold, and was someone who was more than just a member of the community. He was, and still will be, an ambassador for the people of Forza.
RIP Steve, Mr. Squat. You’ll be missed, and always remembered. The FM Community has lost one of its best people.

I was away from home with Flickr being the only connection to my normal routine & noticed swtluu posting pics of Doodley’s liveries, but just thought it was for a DLK comp. Then Olivback posted a photo with “RIP Steve aka Doodley Squat” a couple days ago & the sad reality of his passing hit me hard. It always seems like the people with the biggest hearts wear them out too soon.
I only knew him through his wealth of contributions on these forums, but I have a feeling that his generous spirit will live on through the people he inspired.
