I'm new here and need some more info on FM and FH

well, hello, I’m was tthinking of buying FM6 and FH3, but I need some more info on both. Do both forzas require updates after installation from CD?, and, is it a must to log on my microsoft account in order to play? Cause, like, when there won’t be any internet, I won’t be able to play them if that’s the case anyway. Please I need some answers before I make any mistakes

If you purchase a disc that is not advertising that it is complete, like a “game of the year” or “penultimate” (not the ultimate edition) it will need updates and lots of them. Turn10 updates both games about once a month. A digital download from the Xbox store would have all the updates but a disc based version, especially if it is second hand, won’t have them.

Both FM6 and FH3 have many GB of updates that are not included on this disc. Unfortunately, a good internet connection is required to get all of these updates. However, once everything is updated, you don’t need to be connected to the internet to play. Obviously you wont be able to access the online features, but all the single player stuff (and local multiplayer in FM6) will be available without an Internet connection.

Even if you’re not connected, you are all set. All you have to do is install the game from the Bluray (not CD… lol!)… wait for it to finish (don’t start even if it says ‘ready to start’) and then launch the game. You will not have all the updates… they corrected physics and audio balance issues in FM6, including engine sound adjustments for some cars to make them sound right. There were other fixes as well for both games.

Apart from that, you can play them just fine. However, I would highly recommend that you go online after completely installing the game, install the updates, wait and then launch. The fixes are worth it and make the experience more enjoyable.

It is recommended that you use the updates for FM6 and FH3, but you dont have to. Be aware that your Xbox one itself needs the day one update before you can use it (to get rid of the DRM software, once a day required internet connection, etc.).
