Idea for cross dlc

Hey,
so I finished Horizon 3 and found myself back in Forza 6 and had huge fun.
What I just can´t understand that T10 took a cut from all the DLCs.
But a game lives from new content and Forza 6 deserves it.
I wonder why they don´t offer the cars from Horizon 3 DLC also
for Forza 6.
They can even name it “cross dlc” and advert like.
Buy the carpack for Horizon 3 and get the same cars for Forza 6 as well.
And we all know that cars like the BMW M2, M4 GTS or the bonkers Aston Martin Vulcan
are perfect for Forza 6.
I hope they consider this at least and I´m sure it will help both games.
What is your opinion?

Not going to happen, they are done with F6.

And not only will they reject your Idea, they will dump your it in the trashcan know as the wishlist.

People have brought this “idea” up before. Besides the fact that support for forza 6 is pretty much done, if they added the dlc from horizon they wouldnt have any “new” cars to put in forza 7 and thered be even less reason to buy it. In reality besides them wanting to charge for a new game, car pass and expansion packs there isnt a need for a new motorsport or horizon, literally everything couldve been added through dlc.

I think you’re on the right track but wrong games.

I don’t think this should happen between FM6 and FH3. I know that next year, more likely than not, Turn10 will release FM7. And I’m not sure how it will be received. I feel that we’e at a point where the graphics are great, the physics are great, and while minor improvements can be made they don’t necessitate a new game. I would definitely not want to buy FM7 for 65 USD if it has all the same cars and tracks we already have.

Now where I think this cross DLC could work is between FM6 and FM7. I would not buy FM7 for 65 USD with all the same tracks and cars and a few new editions. I would gladly drop 100 USD on whatever you want to call it - a new game, an expansion, cross dlc - if it included a handful of new tracks, around 150 cars not currently in FM6 and was compatible with FM6.

For the sake of argument let’s call this new idea FM7. Let’s say I buy FM7 - if don’t own a previous Forza title I can play this game with the cars and tracks it includes all by itself. BUT, let’s say I do own FM6: I can use all the cars in FM6 on the tracks in FM7 and all the cars in FM7 on the tracks of FM6. Heck, if they want to push digital games then make this a digital only thing since that’s where it would work best anyway. For this, I would gladly, easily, and readily dish out the cost of a new game or two because I don’t want a new game which is more of the same old content. I want new stuff, I want the game I have to expand because there is so much room to grow.

If Turn10 don’t figure out something new and income generating though I don’t know what will happen. Their games aren’t as revenue generating as Call of Duty or Battlefield so they can’t dish out the same content year after year hoping to continue to grow and make money.

But many additions to those games would be meaningless in Forza. Imagine the equivalent to a new gun skin! So in support of your post I do agree that T10 can consider new tracks, campaigns and formats - but wait! Isn’t that what they do already (NASCAR)?

You know there are so many tracks and formats of motorsport around the world they should be able to come up with a NASCAR type dlc pack each month. That would keep me interested.
