Let’s all hug and act like there’s nothing wrong with the game. Let’s ignore the fact the game punishes clean driving and rewards horrid, group bullying. It’s perfect like that.
It’s not perfect but still it’s the best open-world racing series. No competition at all. Horizons are the most enjoyable games I have ever played.
Some people will probably have problems with everything
Yeah, if you use open world as your basis. But that would exclude racing because racing is not open world.
The only part of racing in this game that is open world is freeroam rush. And I’m sire that will soon be removed as well. If some people get their way, you will never have to race again.
So what you are saying is that people will buy a 90 dollar racing game and then lobby to have the racing taken out of this game…I don’t think I share your opinion here…
**** oh a race is from point A to point B where ever that may take you including open world…ever watch the show Amazing Race? It took people racing around the world finding clues and doing challenges in an open world and its still called the Amazing “RACE”
Credit has to be given to Game Director Ralph Fulton for his ever expanding vision and direction in which he has taken this game. (I wish T10 had the same foresight with the Motorsport series!) What more can I say, but with each Horizon game take into new Horizons, literally and figuratively! I could only image what’s up next for FH5. But yeah, FH3 and FH4 are amazing games indeed!
I love this game also, Forza series are the best racing games.
The only true wish i have is that if there is going to be a new Forza Horizon 5 in the future, that the map will be insanely huge, similar to “The Crew / Test Drive Unlimited” mapsize, with a cruising mode (cruising with friends).
As far as racing goes, the Forza series is all I play. Horizons are my favorite and I do enjoy this game quite a bit. I just dont enjoy as much as I should, cause of the dirty drivers. I know wallriding is still a issue but I hardly see anymore. I’ve been keeping a list of the lobbies/races i’ve done and i’m not shocked that its mainly STREET or CROSS COUNTRY. Thats why I dont see much wallriding. Sometimes I will tough it out if Colossus is on the playlist
Against my better judgment I played in a dirt room this morning and you know what I lost to a Raptor truck that mastered riding the wall. He was so far ahead on a couple of the races, all I could hope for was he’d miss a checkpoint. He won 82-78, that magic number 82 again. I’ll stick to street and cross country.
Glen Rannoch, the mountain race, my favorite of the dirt races too. Going down the other side of the mountain, people dont brake for those turns. They just floor it and glide on the wall. If those walls were ever removed, they’d fly right off the path LOL. One can dream
