I Guess That's it for Hoping for Multiplayer that Works Well

I really didn’t hold out much hope that Playground or Turn 10 had heard all of us that have been begging for them to add lobbies or at least hoppers to the current multiplayer system, and hearing that this expansion was upon us I still at least took the time to check if this requested featured had been added. Unfortunately it wasn’t. More unfortunately, as this would have been the perfect time to do so, not doing so pretty much closes the book on the possibility online lobbies will ever be added.
That said, I hope that those of you who feel as strongly about this as I do will continue to voice your displeasure (in appropriate ways within the rules) with the hope that by the time Forza Horizon 3 comes our way, a little under 2 years from now, that we won’t be facing this same situation all over again. Man, I am so bummed out that I’ve got to wait another 2 years for the follow up of Forza Horizon I’d been waiting for the past year or so. I’m almost equally bummed out at the folks at Turn 10 and Playground for not once even addressing the issue. I’ve read quite a few posts here and across social media about the subject and have never seen a single official reply. I know they’ve got more important things on their plates, but having followed other games from other companies and having seen how much better most of them are with communicating with their fans about issues, the lack of such by T10/Playground is disappointing.

If anyone actually read all of that, thanks for listening.

totally agree with you. my language level does not allow me to describe all I think. really want to make a difference. I was disappointed in multiplayer of FH2. want to be heard developers. I can’t enjoy a game of infected.
Sorry for my English

The worst part is how awesome everything else in the game is and knowing how great a proper multiplayer system would make the game.
And I couldn’t agree more about the complete lack of any recognition on the issue. In fact the Turn 10 guys are actually saying how everyone loves and prefers the new system. When I read that interview I didn’t know if I wanted to scream from frustration or laugh at the futility of it all. They’re either completely uninformed on the views of their players or turning a blind eye, pretending this isn’t an issue for a lot of people, and ignoring us. I don’t know which one is worse, but it is maddening either way.

I agree 100% with both of yall and have been voicing my opinion about this since the removal of custom lobbies in fm5. Nobody that has any power seems to care… Both fm5 and fh2 could literally be the ultimate never need any other driving games kinda game if they would just give us a proper multiplayer system.

I agree 100%, It is extremely sad that they are not listening to their community, and i guess it will not be long before this thread will end up on the “Wish List” scrap-heap where it will be buried and lost forever.

I think who ever is in charge and would probably never talk to us anyway has told those who do come into contact with the players to not discuss the issue either. I was watching the Twitch broadcast the other day and repeatedly (and very politely) asked about getting online lobbies. Several times he’d reply to the people above me in the dialog box, pause as if reading, not say anything, and then continue to answer people who’d replied after I did. Time and again this happened until I just got tired of being ignored. As much as I like the Forza games, Turn 10 is becoming one of my least favorite developers, PR-wise, and if they continue to ruin their games’ multiplayer modes and ignoring their fans who don’t like what they’re doing I might not be much of a fan of their games for much longer. It’s rediculous.

They do seem to have gotten worse at communicating with people. The only things that get fixed or added on are things that cost money or things that can cost then money like money glitches. So as far as paint glitches, sound glitches, leaderboard glitches, and anything having to do with multiplayer will never change. They have the attitude of “if you don’t like it, dont buy it”, which is true if you don’t like it don’t buy it but its sad that it has come to that way of thinking.
