But by god is it beautiful…

That Mercedes-Benz was made for Gran Turismo 6, to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of that game series.
In GT6, there is a category called “Vision GT”. Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, Aston Martin, Nissan, MINI, Mercedes-Benz (who made two), Hyundai and plenty others made a Vision GT. To check them out, go to the website of Gran Turismo.
And finally, the car; it’s a Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo. It’s good. I played the game because my brother brought his PS3, so I figured that I could kill time. And I got it for free in the game! (It beat a Bugatti Veyron SS).
As cool as it is for them to be putting these crazy concepts into the game (the Red Bull one is awesome), it just seems too cheap and fake for me as a person who doesn’t like the mixing of fantasy and hard realism. (ex: Burnout is fine because they’re -all- fake, not just a handful).
“Oh, well this car can go 500mph and take corners at 6.0g’s, because it isn’t real anyways and we say that’s what it could do.”
Not my thing.
As for this particular Merc, the front is a bit long and the rims are /very/ chrome for my tastes. Mostly it’s pretty sweet though.
For the most part, the only thing unrealistic about the Vision GTs so far is their looks. Their performance has of course been high but there are plenty of real-world cars in the game that outclass them. They’re less of the companies making “ultimate cars” and more of them making a design concept that has one of their actual drivetrains in it.
Eh, that’s not so bad then.

Damn I wish it was real. Work of bloody art.
A company is producing a few as re-bodied SLS AMGs.
