I am depressed with Forza 6 and let me tell you why

First of all I have no idea why the economy in Forza 6 is so stupid. I have millions of cr and I keep getting cr boosters in my mod packs, pointless. As I prefer doing endurance races. So I level anywhere from 4-26 times depending on the race and always seem to stack millions of credits. So why include credit mod packs.

Second I am an aspiring artist who has been making designs since I first got Forza 1. But now I do not care about sharing my artwork because I cannot sell them based off the time and effort I put into them (I.e. Setting a price and a maximum allowed to be sold) Why was this changed? It is rather discouraging for artists such as myself as when I get 100 downloads from 1 design I only get 50,000cr which I can easily get 5x that in once race. Or heck let me level up 2 times and I will get so much more. Its pointless.

Third And most important to me, where are my stock cars? I love doing fantasy nascar, and since there is no real nascar game for the Xbox One, and backwards compatibility supports none, I am without my Nascar racing. I have the tracks but no car to really enjoy it on. Where are my stock cars? Does anyone have any ideas why they are gone?

Last thought why are the menu’s so counter-intuitive? Am I the only one who feels this way?

Come on Turn 10, can we get some stock cars and for Forza 7 can we have an economy again? I miss selling cars with my custom artwork in a series of 10 limited editions, it made me feel like a real artist.

Dont get me wrong, I still play, but I am half tempted to hook back up my Xbox 360 and go back to Forza 4.

The ‘economy’, auction house, marketplace was done away with because of the rampant abuse and I’m not dissapointed it is gone. “Real” artists starve for their art and usually get almost nothing until they are dead, at least that’s the story I’ve always heard, lol. Serious though on one hand you are complaining about earning too many credits for the primary focus of the game, racing, and then complain you can’t make any credits on a sidebar to the game, artistry.

The game changed, I would humbly suggest changing with it. Earn your millions racing and make your paints openly available and enjoy the status of being a 5 star ranked artist that still gets a credit trickle from the use of those paints. If your intent of playing a racing game is to feel like a real artist you may be missing the point of the game.

As for the stock car/NASCAR portion, they may no longer have the license to have them represented. Just because they were in a past game does not mean they could afford to bring them in the new game.

1.) Not sure I understand the complaint. It’s too easy to earn credits? That just means you can buy all the cars/upgrades you want, and not have to think about it. You can just drive and have fun.

2.) I understand your point about not getting the proper value for your time, but it’s not real money, anyway. Even if they let you set your own price, you aren’t getting any meaningful compensation, anyway, especially considering, as you pointed out, credits are so easy to come by. If you feel like the time you spend painting cars isn’t worth whatever compensation is offered, spend your time making art you can sell somewhere else.

3.) Don’t know why there are no stock cars, and while I personally don’t care, I can see where that’s disappointing.

4.) I can’t imagine how the menus could be laid out any clearer.

Let me clarify with regards to the menus.

My main frustration is the issue with multiplayer, having to google search the shape of each track to save on loading times for example, why not include the basic shape of the track so I know what I am getting into before loading the map. Second the Redundancy, why not include each track once and let me choose night/ day / raining as opposed to having multiple versions of the same track. Seems like they are trying to make it seem like there are more tracks than there actually are.

Just my 2 cents, and again I am stating that I am adapting to the changes I just don’t think they are that beneficial to the community as a whole. A few bad apples spoiled the bunch I presume. We all hate modders and cheaters but there are worse issues at hand than people who steal credits. If you cant earn your credits, you are a sissy Turn 10 was doing just fine banning them right?

I personally get more upset at people who treat multiplayer like a demolition derby for kicks and grins, I understand accident happen, and they actually make me feel more immersed in the game and add a realism factor. But the people I am referring to are the ones who force you out of their way, If I see you approaching faster than I am trailing. I always make room, so why push me out of the way.

I will never understand why people say “it’s too easy earning credits” or “I have too many credits”, doesn’t make any sense. Smh

A good economy adds depth to any type of game.

I agree with everything you list. It is really noticeable that the quality of paints is much lower than in the past. I suspect its because nine of the painters are really bothering.

I agre with the OP.

The conomy system is very poorly done. after playing a litle while everyone has like endless amounts of credits.

There is no real feeling like what car do i want to spend my earned credits on and when do i have enough to buy the next car i want to try out. They might as well just give all cars for free since this system is more or less the same.

I really hope the single player and community features will be better in Forza 7.

There is essentially NASCAR involved in Forza 6’s cars, as most of the classic and muscle cars feature the “V8 Racing” conversion. Call it a V8 Supercar engine or not, its as close as you’re gonna get to NASCAR racing.

  1. So you have too much money on the game and nothing to do with it.
  2. You want to be able to set a price on your designs to get more money?
  3. I’m a designer on the game and have 92d 15h 38m in Horizon 2 just designing and 50d 2h 40m in Motorsport 6 designing. If you’re painting with the intent just to make money from it you’re doing it for the wrong reasons. Paint because you enjoy it not just for downloads.

… and finally, want sell your designs in limited bunches? Watch the downloads and then remove it. Adapt.

Congratulations on being so nice this isn’t about how many days/hours you’ve spent. I get that you feel differently about why we paint.
To me, if I set the value of my artwork high and someone buys it, it’s a good feeling it tells me someone liked it enough to pay a premium.
Granted, you are right, I have too many cr and nothing to do with it. I have that in Forza 4 as well, but there is a certain feeling one gets from selling artwork
vs it being downloaded. That is the point I am making. I love that people like my works, I just enjoy the dopamine release of someone paying something for it,
even if it is a worthless CR. They had to work to acquire my artwork and that feels better than anyone snatching it up. Not that it upsets me, it just feels better.

Surely you’d get a bigger kick from 100 people downloading your artwork vs 10 people willing to pay 100k for it. Quite often in forza 4 you see a design you like but someone wants “x” amount of credits for it and you think I don’t like it that much, regardless of you have 50mill. I understand you want a value system for the amount of hours you put into something but just because you’ve put 50hours into a design doesn’t make it “good” by someone else’s opinion, everyone’s taste is different. Hence where using “number of downloads” as a reference rather then a price you’ve personally set will let you truly know as a artist, the publics opinion of it.

…and in Forza 6 that value is now available for artists via “likes” and ratings and you get a badge, if I’m not mistaken.
Users who download designs have the option to “like” them. The more you get the more exposure you get when someone purchases a car.
One of your designs will show up front and center when they are to choose a design or color for their purchase. You may even get a follower, who knows?
It’s more like social media but ok, it is what it is.

As for the money, I think it’s fine, plus Turn10 went thru hell with Forza 5, Amazon reviews alone plummeted thanks to that, they revised the economy in response.
Nothing to spend on tells me there is no imagination on this. There is another thread about creating other cars just from the aeros.

From 1 car, you can have many.

BTW, since you are an artisit, please share your link to some of your works, I don’t see you listed in the painter database.

Someone liking your design should be on the uses. Anyone can download a design but uses is how you know people are really enjoying it.

Granted pieces I’ve spent the most time on are usually the least downloaded.

I agree that the economy is very poorly designed as is the way you search for tunes and paints. In FM4 I would spend ages looking through people’s storefronts for paints. In FM6 just as I did in 5 I run stock paints most of the time as I can’t be bothered to sift through the deluge of trash. I hear ya on the Stock Cars, I had some of the best and closest racing I’ve ever had back on the ovals in FM3 and 4.

I was initially apprehensive about the removal of the auction house and storefront. I enjoyed buying and selling cars and creating cars that people would pay a lot for too.
However, I am not finding it to be a big deal. In fact, looking back, I can see that I was just farming credits and giving them away. But, I also seem to have lost most of my interest in creating vinyls. Sure, I throw together some easy stuff, but I haven’t really invested any time in it. In the plus side, I have focused more on driving, actually played in some leagues and really enjoyed the game.
I initially had some issues with getting around in the menus, but I remember going through that with other iterations of the game too.
I am far more concerned with griefers and generally poor driving in multiplayer. If I could have one wish it would be for a fool proof identification and penalty system to eliminate griefers quickly, and a good system of ranking to promote better driving.
I think it is all about adapting though. Do whatever you can with what IS available and gives you the most enjoyment.

Peace

I’d suggest you roll with the tide. They can’t keep doing the same stuff over and over with each game. As a franchise it has to grow and explore at the same time which means branching out in slightly different directions and trying new things.

I really enjoy Forza for what it is today though I do miss some of the stuff from previous games. There were issues however, many have been fixed to date. Enjoy the game for what it is. It is the best driving game you’re going to find on a console today. Wasn’t that the case with the X360 too? Along the evolution process, there are hits and misses. Thankfully, it has been mostly hits. And sticking with the franchise since Forza 2, I’m generally happy with where they are today.

But then again, as Dan says, if you don’t agree with Forza’s vision, there are many other great racing games to choose from.

depressed??? lol

I am a bad artist, I made two average liveries six months ago and I still get 10.000 CR a day from them. I imagine a good artist can easily get a million a day with a handful of designs. Also why do you care, as you recognized money is not an issue. There’s no real need to make even more.

I really just want to be able to get rid of garage cars I have for more than Zero credits. I see where the OP is frustrated on all fronts. I also see where the game changed, and he needs to change with it. It’s not ideal with how we “sell” our tunes and designs now. However, it’s getting the racers back to the track on a racing game much quicker imo.
