Tilte says it pretty much. How do you change you’re current rival to one near you’re best time?
Has anyone ever received a rival notification? I haven’t.
Before entering the rival, press Y and pick from the leaderboard the one you want as rival. In classes D through X rivals racing I dont think you get notifications, only the monthly, specs etc.
How do you “pick”? Pressing A i think sends to their xbox live profile.
In the lower left-hand corner of the screen there is an option titled “Set As Rival” that’s linked to a button on the controller (X or Y maybe - I don’t recall).
before selecting the track you wish to drive; press Y this will bring you to the leaderboards.
Second you will want to press X to rotate the leaderboards to say “NEAR ME” which youll see on the top left of the screen
Next move the cursor over the person just above you and select that person with the A button.
You can do the same with “TOP SCORES” and also “MY FRIENDS”

not the leaderboard from after or before a race screen…but the leaderboard in the actual rivals first menu. a b ,c drift etc.
i think the only way you get a notification is if someone sets you as their rival and not if they just happen to beat your time

Sadly, I have a very fast friend on the leaderboards, and they keep putting him as my next rival right after I’ve beaten the previous. Any way to get around that?
Not if you’re just running laps.
When you beat a rival and the pop-up shows your next rival it’s always someone from your friends list. I don’t think there is any way to change that. The only way to change it is to quit the race and go back to the menu to select a new rival near you (see Tone Marley’s) steps above.
Jesus alright. One last question. How is the money output calculated? I’m sure it has to do with how many rivals you’ve passed because I’m getting way less money now.
