How is it possible that 4 new street events got added but

This is the only time when talking about mental health might be ok IMO.

Hot Wheels is boring and repetitive in both 3 and 5. Ooh orange tracks. While probably overstated by warmwind it’s a missed opportunity for downhill paved race on the mountain as well as uphill on the dirt. There’s only mediocre starting points for custom routes to cover these. Venting is all good though.

Yes, in the minority. Me too, I’m there with you. It’s sad that they do try to things but fall short. And it’s the little things such as this which prove beyond doubt to me the developers do not understand racing life and car culture.

Granted there are many aspects to car culture and the additions may check some of those boxes. So I will give the developers a Kudo for the effort. And with that kudo they can do exactly what we get to do with our kudos.

What other choice do we really have as far as new racing games go? Sure, we can always go back to the old good ones, but everyone craves new experiences, and the racing game market is a dried oasis. Horizon has the best graphics and the best physics out of all of them. That is why we stay and play.

However, everything else in the game is stale at best and lazy at worst. Horizon needs a massive glow up in terms of presentation and gameplay. Casual audiences aren’t going to demand it because they don’t know better. People like you don’t demand because you’re afraid of fear in all wrong the places. Fear Playground Games playing “hide the Lancia behind the Xpeng”, not the prospect of adding a career mode or 900 degree steering animation. That leaves people like myself to at least try and point out things to fix the game’s mediocrity.

Don’t like it. Fine. But don’t go crying around saying we’re toxic when you and your crowd are no better. Worst action than action itself is no action at all.

Ok calm down people. There’s nothing to be gained here by anyone.

It’s called venting. It keeps us from getting ulcers.

Yeah venting is good. But arguing not so good. This is coming from King Arguer.

It’s a restaurant. Everyone orders what they want. If reheated leftovers are your wish, so be it. Many of us want fresh new stuff.
Most of us don’t tolerate whingeing. It’s hard to see thread after thread of it, interspersed with disdain. Most of us respect our differences. And don’t impugn our intelligence.
Those threads are tolerable.

This is going off topic but this is the biggest issue with this forum, user, mods IMO and I’m not excluding myself.

A key to being negative is to provide constructive criticism or a proposed solution.

A key to a discussion is to not turn it into an argument and to rather listen to what other people have to say and acknowledge everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that everyone has their own opinion which we may or may not agree with.

The issue being we all often over step this line and turn a discussion into an argument, or vent our frustrations at others, or counter someone’s argument by putting them down. This is not constructive or civil although admittedly sometimes it can be entertaining.

Point being, everyone including myself needs to respect what others have to say, regardless if you agree or not.

The irony of your post and who you’re responding to will never be lost on me.

Lol ok ok. I’ll go grab me pop corn. Have at it.

Well I do have a proposed solution to the direct matter at hand, but as for the overarching direction of the game the original post alludes to, I’ll have to think on that.

I think the issue that I’m truly trying to bring up in the OP is that this feels like a wish I made to a monkey’s paw granted. And that makes me worried about making future wishes.

Yes I wanted more races, and I got more races, and yet it seems like obvious priorities were passed up for no good reason. They aren’t even bad races (though some more warning that the one race would be on dirt would have been nice), I just feel like the world’s gone a little crazy when the downhill tarmac switchback continues to be ignored.

Since now corn based snacks are acceptable I will suggest that adding a reverse option to all existing courses regardless of type would be a welcome addition to accommodate the main og complaint.

I would prefer a start point a little higher up but that would be better than the current situation, and certainly better than the nothing that occupies the upper half of the tarmac switchback.

Just to be clear, I’m not faulting you or anyone else. I just saw an unnecessary argument unfolding and tried to intervene but have since reverted back to eatting popcorn.

In terms of your OP though, it’s no different to mine or anyone else. It’s all wishful thinking. We really have no impact. It’s as simple as that. The game for the foreseeable future will unfortunately not live up to the potential we know and wish it could. So it does come to the point where one must accept it or move on.

Then in terms of one particular response you got, it is true that people get sick of hearing the same thing over and over. So I really can’t fault that poster for saying what they did. Heck I know many people are sick of what I say. That’s why I would just try word things in a more constructive way. Anyway I need to get back to work lol.

Thank you for your suggestion. We agree and have included it in our road map for Forza Horizon 60

I didn’t take any offense, I just agree with the sentiment that criticism shouldn’t be offered without viable alternatives. Particularly when it comes to art and games.

It’s easy to dislike things. It’s very difficult to figure out a way to make them better. And the internet is rife with people who constantly blame other things for their bad mood and never look inward. I don’t want to be one of those people.

I’m in awe. You gaslit OP so hard authorities needed to clear out every propane tank in a three-mile radius, and then you write this sentence. You wrote that sentence knowing full well that it’s factually inaccurate and has more padding than the car that Sylvester Stallone crashed in Demolition Man.

Take a bow. I’m just speechless at this point.

Thanks! Seriously though they’ve made a couple of qol adds that I would not have thought had a chance. Everyone’s got to keep asking for what they want regardless. Maybe Doritos will pay for it?

IDK about that. Sure there have been updates but the game is practically the same as it was to me since day 1 with the exception of the HWs expac. I would rate it the same as I would then, above average. I’m yet to see any QoL or additions to take it beyond that. Despite the fact there’s a zillion cool simply changes they could make that would have a big impact IMO.
