… not a single one of them is at the top of the Caldera tarmac switchback? Seriously, who makes these decisions?
PGG even when you do something right you manage to get it wrong in an bafflingly obvious way that elicits deep concern over your stewardship of the franchise. Was there no-one there fighting to get a downhill switchback street event in the game?
And one of the best roads in the game continues to be woefully underutilized.
How is it that some people find a reason to complain about every single new thing added to the game while still playing it for close to a year?
It is baffling to see a complaint over complaint stacked onto the complaint all wrapped up in a non-stop wave of whining, raising deep concern over the mental health of authors.
Especially all of that being made in a language and tone showing zero respect, no attempt of understanding and complete ignorance of a mass of players that may like different things that you do.
Is there no-one to teach basic socializing skills in the schools anymore?
Is this just me being out of touch? I guess it’s possible. Am I in the minority being upset about this? Am I wrong to think a downhill switchback race is a key part of racing and car culture?
Man I don’t even know any more.
I mean eliminator does seem to be popular, for reasons beyond my ability to comprehend. I could be wrong about this too.
Oh it’s better than nothing at all, it just seems like yet another instance of PGG holding back obvious improvements because reasons.
I don’t get how new street races get discussed without the downhill switchback entering the discussion. Or how that idea would get axed in favour of other options.
It’s baffling to the point of infuriating. I feel like the next addition after this will be more drag races, then after that more playground games areas. And then they’ll ask why we’re mad they’re giving us the new content we asked for.
ill join the complaint, how about having to win 16 street races that you have already raced and won (i know you can use event labs, thats what i did) just to unlock WAIT FOR IT 4 new races. im glad to see new races but only 4, then beat all 4 races in 30 min or so just to be given 4 cars that they have already given out and that i have collected (some people may not have i get it). i was hoping this MIDNIGHT BATTLES was gonna be a new festival site with a lot more to offer.
im not unhappy but they hyped up this whole 10 yr anniversary and so far i think they are falling short we’ll see what happens tomorrow when the new series drops
Might want to put the brakes on that part. 4 cars that were already released previously in FH5. I deleted them because I hate having dupes in my garage.
Don’t get me wrong, your response is good. It’s something I would happily copy/paste as a counter argument. I think touching on ones own mental health is a stretch too far though.
Anywho, the reality is nothing anyone says on these forums matter. It really is wishful thinking at the end of the day. Recent changes like the Midnight Battles didn’t come from recent feedback in the last 6-12 months. The code name for this project was known for a long time. For instance, why did we have a refresh of the Hot Wheels expansion when no one asked for it? It turned out well but point being we are not influencing these changes as we might think or at all…
Ultimately I like to think these forums are mainly for people to discuss things relating to the game and occasionally vent because let’s be real, we all have our own frustrations with this game. It doesn’t mean we hate the game or don’t want to play it, it’s just we really wish they were listening to us personally.
In saying that I would say it’s better to be constructive opposed to simply complaining. For example to be constructive one could respond to the OP and say “I understand your frustrations but other players play this game and these changes are well received. Maybe you could rephrase what you’re saying to focus more on what you would like, but also understand PGG will never cater to one person’s specific needs”. Or alternatively you could not be constructive and shoot down the OP which is abit ironic when you think about it.
Shoulda just sold them.
Just earned 12,294,000 CR from these 4 new duplicates and probably would have got more if I’d used the full AH option (as most on the AH are trying) instead of putting them up at much reduced buyout prices.
Not that the money is important, but I hate to see hard earned cars going to waste.
Why? It’s not like credits mean anything once you already have all the cars…
I don’t view the cars in game as being all that hard to obtain, virtual assets aren’t the same as the cars outside my door…
TBH, this is the one when I “occasionally vented”. It’s just weird to see pages upon pages of complaining when coming to the forums. If I was making my impression of the game by coming here, I’d think it’s awful.
Even your post - “hot wheels expansion when noone asked for it”. You realize a ton of people actually asked for it specifically? Some missed HotWheels in FH3 altogether (me included), some loved it so much, they felt enough time passed since to revisit the theme at a larger scale and with better tech.
Why people want to be so negative about thing they clearly spend so much time on is beyond me.
Not trying to turn this into an argument but as far as I’m aware, the FH3 Hot Wheels expansion overall was praised as the best expansion across all series and that it was apparently better then FH3 itself. But I have seen nothing in terms of anyone actually requesting a rehash of this expansion which is what I was saying. That’s not to say they didn’t do an excellent job of rehashing it, but more about where were the players requests for a rehash.
Well, some people put down hard earned money to play a game that the previous titles set an example of what to expect. When those expectations aren’t met, you get complaints. Especially when to get the top version of the game hit the wallet to the tune of $100 US.
