I’m having a little tournament with some friends and we are experiencing some problems in setting up the grid…
We usually have a 10 minutes qualifying race that provides the lap times to determine the starting grid.
The problem is: once we start the proper race, how do I get all the players to start in the right order? I really can’t find a way to do it…is there an option that I’m missing? It was more straightforward in Forza 4…
It looks like the options to order the grid by lobby points has been removed in FM5…such a shame, as myself and a few friends came across the same problem while trying to set up a few races
I have noticed that since we all drive the same car with no tunes the order of the grid for the qualifying race seems to be the one in which the players enter the lobby…so a solution could be: the driver that gets the pole position creates a new lobby and the others enter in the right order.
But I don’t know if also the order in which you press X to show that you are ready matters…
Only other way is add an extra lap to your race and do a rolling start
that’s another solution…but is it possible that there is no option or trick to do it from the lobby?
I haven’t found a trick to setup the grid order with all members using the same P.I. I suggest either the rolling start or warm up lap, set your grid positions then have p1 countdown or something.
That’s the solution we will use in the next race. We make a warm up lap, everyone goes in the right position and then we will probably use the race clock to determine when to start.
But this is an issue that needs to be solved as soon as possible by Turn10, the lack of options to set the grid is really annoying…
