How can you shift if your clutch in 100% inopperable.

Damage to the suspicion and drivetrain doesn’t seem to have any affect on the cars performance. I will post a replay of what I’m talking about. Make sure you check out the A4 telemetry.
If you don’t know how to drive and you’re doing damage to your car then how? It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Well, you can still shift with 100% clutch damage, just as you can still move (barely) with 100% engine damage. The game has to allow some leeway to get the car back to the pits, I guess. However, there are glitches in replays that will show damage for actions that don’t actually cause damage in a live race, powering through shifts being a prime example.

If I’m not mistaken powershifting in a race set to simulation damage will show damage on the replay when there was none in the race.

Like Bulin said, you can’t always go by the replays, they’re notoriously inaccurate in that respect. I drive full damage all the time and suspension and drivetrain damage will affect the performance if bad enough. I have also blown my clutch many, many times and trust me, you will not win a race that way.

you can rpm shift but it takes skill, you have to match the engine rpm to the trannys. i think it was kenseth in nascar this year who team had to push him every pit so he could get it in gear since you cant reduce your engine rmp to zero without shutting it off. he finished on the lead lap the race having to rpm shift for most of the race. that said i am sure he would have much preferred to have a working clutch.
