I realize that design beauty is a matter of opinion but I’m just not a fan of designs that have no imagination. There are some amazingly beautiful designs that I would love to see racing around in my game but unfortunately I’m plagued with having so many that are absolutely horrid so I keep my Drivatar designs turned off. It would be nice to only have designs chosen out of an approved pool or simply ones you have already downloaded.
Drivatar designs are dictated by the liveries and vinyls you download and use, based on keywords used by the creator of those items. The more downloaded items you have, the more criteria the game has to try and mimic your tastes. The idea behind this is twofold: to make the field of cars more aesthetically pleasing to you and to showcase the work of others that you might be interested in.
Of course, if you don’t download that many shared items, you are likely to see a hodgepodge of designs. Keep in mind that the system is far from perfect - just as your tastes are far from predictable - so you are bound to dislike a handful along the way.
Thanks Shadow Edge. I typically only grab a couple of liveries for a car that I use regularly so it sounds like it would be well worth it to go through and download quite a few designs that I like for my cars to give the game a good database to pull from.
I don’t think that how it works each drivatar follows the maker I have seen my friends drivatar use his paint job that he has not put up for sharing & my friends told me my drivatar does drive my car with my paint job on it & I don’t share my paint jobs
Correct, the Drivatar liveries are based on that gamertag, not your own. Depending on what they’ve used for a specific car, you may see it because they may have changed, deleted or removed the livery they used in the latest system capture.
So, that means there are tons of players out there using those tacky designs for real? Wow. I guess there’s no accounting for taste.
