HOW ACTIVE IS FM4???

I own an XBOX One & also a 360. I own & play FM5… however… I’m wanting to get FM4 because I’ve never played it & I’m intrigued with just how many cars (especially NASCAR style stock cars) & tracks (especially ovals) there is.

My question… is there still a lot of folks that still play FM4 & is the multiplayer lobbies still active & full of players?

Thanks in advance for the responses.

I also have both consoles and play both FM4 and FM5, but as far as activities are concerned, for me there’s no comparison. It’s like comparing New York with Alaska, at least as far as the forum driven activities are concerned. FM4 has plenty of forum driven events and competitions and has much more participation by the community. And the more, the merrier.

As far as NASCAR goes, there’s a NASCAR series in the FM4 Race thread run by onelapmagic from the Bigtime Muscle Car Club. Plenty of participants with big credits and cars to be won. Here’s one of the prize cars - [plenty more]. Hope to see ya soon.

Thanks for the info brother!!!

Just by looking at the enormous amount & variety of numerous different cars…PLUS… the number of tracks (to include more than 1 oval), it just seems that FM4 might be a more interesting game. If nothing else, it will work as a medium to fulfill my NASCAR fix. Don’t get me wrong, I love FM5 & play it religiously… however, I really want to do some stock car racing on different ovals & also road courses.

With FM5 & FH2, I just wasn’t sure how active FM4 multiplayer lobbies were. Does FM4 give you the same type of realistic feel that FM5 does? I’m excited to buy FM4 & get to playing this weekend… I just know that I’ll have to grind it out to get enough in game credits to get a stock car & other wonderful cars in FM4! lol

If you got XB gold, send me a FR soon as you’re on air and I’ll hook you up with some credits via the auction house. AND yes, I enjoy FM5 tremendously, just the FM5 forums that became a ghost town. If you want to find out more about the NASCAR and Nationwide series I referred to earlier, send onelapmagic or Untame Wolf or the Bigtime Muscle Club’s leader KoolIROCZ1967 a PM here on the forums and I’m sure they’ll be very glad to help you.

Take care and hope we see ya soon.

Hello and welcome to the world of Forza racing.
I only own all the Forza games before Forza 5 and still race Forza 4 most of the time.

NASCAR is my favorite, but there’s not very many good NASCAR Series running right now.

You get a FREE Chevy or Ford Stock car at Level 42 I believe.
I like the Chevy even though it is slightly slower than the Ford.
If you check the Leaderboards, you will find that the Acrura TSX is used in Several Classes

If I can find a good Oval series that is not run on Sundays or too early on US time, I probably would try it.
Good luck and happy racing.

I know you specifically mention Stock car and Oval track racing, but just wanted to mention that the Unlimited Drift and Rear wheel drive Drift lobbies are very very active still.

I haven’t played Forza 5 personally, but I can say in my opinion that the graphics in Forza 4 still hold up to this day.

I really, REALLY appreciate you offering me some credits… all I know to say is THANKS! I kinda feel guilty for accepting them, but… I’m spoiled by everything I got on FM5 & want to get into serious racing on FM4 as soon as I can. Thanks for the NASCAR/Nationwide info & points of contact!

I’ll shoot you a friend request once I get on & hope that there will be some future racing with you!

Thanks for the info! If you don’t mind, once I get online w/ FM4 I’d like to add you to my friends list. Always good to have like minded folks in my friends list. I’m with you, NASCAR is my favorite but I enjoy all sorts of racing. I just really would like to get in some good “stock car” racing going on both different ovals & road courses. I won’t be able to spend time painting “Retro NASCAR Liveries” like I have in FM5 (Earnhardt Sr & Jr, David Pearson, King Petty, Mark Martin)… but I’m sure there’s plenty of NASCAR liveries already in FM4.

As far as which stock car I’ll be choosing… I’m a Dale Sr fan… so it’s going to be 100% the Chevy to start with! LOL.

I’m down with racing in general & not just limited to Stock Cars & Ovals… Turn 10 did the limiting for me in FM5!!! hahaha. Seriously, I’m down with all sorts of racing but haven’t ventured into the drifting realm yet… yet! Thanks for the info!

Outkast, I race with Bigtime every weekend, they have 4 different race series going on thru out the week. join in you will be welcomed.

P.S. I responded to your other post.

Thanks for the info brother!

Right now I’m grinding out in the “World Tour” in order to build up enough credits so that I can eventually get the Chevy Monte Carlo stock car & also other competitive cars to utilize in different online racing series. I got the game on Saturday & I’ve made it up to a little over 500,000 credits. I went ahead & purchased the season pass as well… figured that I may as well get the Season Pass since it’s at just around $8.00.

Also, I joined your club… which you probably already know since you accepted my request. I won’t be very active in the club, nor will I have much to share, while I’m still in the process of grinding out the races to get my garage full of cars & my in game bank account comfortably stocked with credits.

I must say… all in all… I like FM4 better than I do FM5… & I love FM5! If you took the graphics, vibration/ feedback from the XB1 controller & a few other small details & added it to FM4… it would be pretty much a perfect racing game!

Don’t buy the Monte Carlo stock car! I’m almost positive you get it for free as a gift car for reaching a certain level. Look up the complete list of those cars to make sure you don’t buy any you can get for free.

Yep, level 42. I just got to it last night (well, I opted for the Ford fusion Stock Car).

I’m finally on FM4… grinding out the early races & driver levels in the ferocious Chevy Spark…lol! I got to say… my concerns that FM4 would be greatly inferior to FM5 was for nothing… having fun exploring this game!

Great advice… just saved me from unnecessarily spending a bunch of credits!

Yes as you progress choose your cars wisely, as Bulin said there is a list that will help you, if you want I can give you a kick start on creds just put a silver 94 civic in AH for 24hr with 20ml buyout. post here when you have done that.
Any time you see me on shoot a msg and we can run some laps

Thanks brother. I found the list on here & have printed it out for a reference as I’m grinding it out in the “World Tour”.

I appreciate the offer for credits but FA RACING 01 already hooked me up with a bunch of credits & I’m not going to be selfish & get more from you… not going to take credits that could be used by someone else…especially when I’ve already been hooked up. I sincerely appreciate the offer though… AND… the offer to run some laps together!

Im always looking for people to drive with if anyone is free looking at making some new video series for my channel

I just want to say that this was one of the best threads I’ve read in a long time. Not a butthead in the bunch. It’s been a pleasure, gentlemen.

You can find the Chevy or Ford Stock cars on the Auction House and there may be some with a big discount.
