Following up on my previous post, I wanted to share the exact data and numbers from my last multiplayer session to show why the level 100 grind is mathematically broken.
I played for 1 hour and 42 minutes straight, keeping the lobby streak active without ever leaving. Here is the exact breakdown of the XP I earned from my placements and clean driving during the session:
Clean Driving: 45,150 XP
1st place: 12,385 XP
2nd place (total): 20,623 XP
3rd place: 9,516 XP
4th place: 6,297 XP
6th place (total): 13,097 XP
5th place: 6,111 XP
8th place: 4.338 XP
11th place: 2,920 XP
7th place: 2,596 XP
Despite driving clean, getting great placements (including a win and podiums), and accumulating over 120,000 XP in total, I only managed to go from level 24 to just a little over half of level 26.
At level 26, the game is already requiring around 60,000 XP for a single level. If it takes nearly 2 hours of high-level performance just to gain less than two levels in the mid-20s, the scaling for later levels (70, 80, 90+) is going to be completely unreachable for normal players.
The community is 100% right. Playground Games, please look at these numbers. We need a patch to scale down the XP requirements or significantly buff the rewards before the multiplayer mode dies completely.
I hope PG listens to this and makes changes accordingly. Yes itās just one achievement, but knowing Iāll never have time to fully complete the game means Iām not incentivised to put in the hours to complete any of the other achievements or accolades. Please fix this PG and Turn 10.
It feels like the live service team has intentionally make FH6 more difficult or time consuming in order to prolong retention for completionists. For example the food delivery āstoryā was nothing but a boring repetetive grind in a very constrained area of the map. It took many hours to complete. And some of those delivery events were overtuned and the difficulty proportion to obtain 3 stars was much higher than most of the rest of the single player game. Same goes for a few drift zones. The same goes for the street racing events. The difficulty is greater than previous titles. So to perform at the same level as FH5 and earlier many find they need to lower the difficulty by 1 or 2 notches. THis means less XP and monetary gain over the same time frames.
I dont understand why people are so vocal about this i dont even play a lot of online play im level 27 rn and i do 2 or 3 championships of spec racing, and touge showdown like 3 or 4 championships too, every 3 or 4 days i dont play that much online play i enjoy rivals more, i think what matters here is if you win the races, the vast majority of the time i win my races so i think this is very win dependant on your xp.
Itās because the amount of xp needed to level up increases every time. The first like 50 levels arenāt as hard, but levelling up on the higher levels is ridiculous.
Two things can be done at once. I am chill, i still have some races to complete but Iāll get to it when Iām ready. I finished the campaign stuff 250 hours ago. Multiplayer is the only thing left to do.
Thatās actually a fair point, and I also donāt understand those who have rushed through the game. However over the next 5+ years I will try and earn every achievement, and putting in what is said to be 1000+ hours (Although I probably think itās less) on just multiplayer, will get repetitive and discourage players to try and go for other achievements.
The bottom line is that the devs have already acknowledged that the leveling system isnāt working in the way they envisioned, so I guess we just have to hope that theyāll adjust it to make things saner.
level 40 now, I play FH6 like 3-4 hours per day. and almost exclusive online racing. itās very slow after level 35.
I have played FH5 for 5 years, and I got 1000 hours in 5 years total, most the playtime isnāt online race. If this achievement would take 1000 hours alone, I would never get it
This eliminator disabling is really slowing up my progress to 100. Racing of any kind seems to take 1.5 or twice as long to get the XP i would get from one session of eliminator!
