Horizon 6 music

We need music that is popular and is specific for Japan. It includes techno, hip hop/rap, especially TRADITIONAL JAPANESE MUSIC, Japanese pop/rap/hip hop etc all genres. Doesn’t matter if the songs are old like the Tokyo drift song etc many old songs would be perfect for the game we also need old popular songs not specific to Japan including rap/hip hop/pop/techno etc. Most modern songs are garbage and Forza wasting money on songs that nobody cares about is pointless just like nfs unbound had.

Prob won’t be surprised to see a eurobeat station.

I know people want J-Pop too.

Even it goes against reflecting the reality of how radio stations operate in Japan in real life, I do not want the music supervisors mixing the Japanese songs with the English songs like Horizon 5 had songs in Spanish alongside the songs in English. Maybe some liked it this way, but I just wasn’t that enthralled with the execution in Horizon 5. In short, preferably, I’d like it if stuff like J-Pop, J-Rock, and other Japanese genres had their own radio stations.

Maybe Saweetie Fast, or songs from the fast and furious soundtrack, or maybe techno.

I really hope the songs “Idol”, “Sign wa B”, “Star Train” or “Heart’s Kiss” don’t make it to FH6.

I would also be excited if the Horizon Pulse, Horizon Bass-Arena, Horizon Block-Party and Horizon XS Radio Stations feature japanese Dance-Pop, J-Rock, and City Pop songs (as well as all the remaining genres mentioned above) straight out of various 90’s and 2000’s anime and tokusatsu soundtracks, maybe the likes of Initial D, Wangan Midnight, Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Yu Yu Hakusho, Samurai X, Gundam, Slam Dunk, Slayers, Gurren Lagann, Inuyasha, One Piece, Cardcaptor Sakura, Lucky-Star, Bleach, Naruto, Hunter X Hunter (1999), Pokémon (TV-Tokyo Version), Pretty Cure, Code Geass, Future GPX Cyber Formula, Bubblegum Crisis, Saint Seiya, Love Hina, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Ultraman Tiga, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fate/Stay Night, Fairy Tale, Ikki Tousen, Captain Tsubasa, Saber Marionette J, Inazuma Eleven, Zatch-Bell, Bayblade, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Street Fighter II Victory, Sonic X, Detective Conan, Magic Knights Rayearth, Bakugan and whatever other series i didn’t mention here.

Speaking of which, since the 1990’s there have been many good J-Pop track with indirect influence from bands that led the Dance Music Scene in the Golden Age of Eurodance (1993-1996), like 2 Unlimited, Twenty 4 Seven, Masterboy and Captain Hollywood Project.

Please make more original soundtracks so I can upload gameplay without worrying about copyright claims.

Those anime songs carry too much of other works influence, so if they appeared in forza. They’d be really distracting.
They also give off that “foreigner’s idea of what Japan feels like” vibe.

If it’s a new Eurobeat track, that could actually be nice.
But using old ones isn’t a great idea unless it’s part of an official crossover.

night lovell , lithe

You can literally turn the radio off and then insert whatever music you want on your video

  1. I don’t want to play the game without its original soundtrack.

  2. It take extra steps to edit, and I don’t want to waste time on that — I have no intention of becoming a YouTuber or content creater.
(YouTube’s “remove music” feature actually ruins the game’s audio and takes a lot of time to use. Plus, many other platforms don’t even have this feature.)

Why does it have to be so difficult to share simple gameplay?

Think I get where you’re coming from, but what about bands that, while being Japanese, sing either in primarily English or mix both Japanese and English in their Music? Prime example for me would be the band “One OK Rock”. Just wondering how you think they should accommodate artists like them, hope that didn’t come off as rude though.

Didn’t think about how music like that may lean too much into the Japan fantasy complex that the team is trying to avoid, so I’m glad you brought that up.

That said, I would be happy to have a station featuring anime/game/film music and would be surprised if it hasn’t at least been considered, and I could see them having their own station as to separate it from other works as to not clash with what foreigners think the music is like over there for the general audience.

If the lyrics are in English, I think the J-Rock will likely blend in with the rest of the tracks just fine.

Usually, Japanese artists release two types of songs: one that’s tied to an anime, movie, drama, or game, and another that’s a standalone original song.
Modern anime songs are mostly sing by the same pop artists.
So the simple answer is that picking an original song by the same artist should be fine.

Amazon music is a good place to explore what people listening when driving.

Ah okay, so the instrumentation was the issue? Sorry, I know there are people out there who don’t like songs as much when they can’t understand the lyrics, basically avoiding anything outside of the language(s) they know.

So I was thinking your were talking about the vocals being an issue, my bad ^^;

Oh that’s true, although originals tend to not be as popular due to not having the additional association to them that anime and games bring, but that would definitely be a good work around.

Ooo, what if one of the artists makes an a song for this game specifically? There would be no previous association and they wouldn’t be limited in what they can make (minus, I suppose, the age rating :p)

Personally I’d love to see some Japanese hardcore EDM producers appear from labels like HARDCORE TANO*C or similar.

Ideally i’d want the japanese and non japanese music separated too. Otherwise i’ll probably end up hating the soundtrack. I can already see myself cringing. This might actually be a make or brake kind of deal. Similar to how unbound’s soundtrack ended up being perceived. In combination with some of the worst dialogue in any racing game. Horizon 6 will be on a very thin ice when it comes to a lot of people’s tolerance for this stuff.

I actually love the radio stations we already have. But i think that it’s accurate to have radio stations that are separated from the traditional Pulse, Bass Arena, XS and Block Party. They should have, like, an local radio. Let me clear this idea: dont change the traditional radio stations, make em keep the way they’ve ever been, and then create 1 or 2 radio stations that are more about the country culture. I guess that would be perfect.

I also did a preview of what i would like to see in the Pulse radio station. Note that even though i added some japanese songs, the station still the same vibe it ever had. At least in my opinion.
