I read today that Horizon 4’s next update is going to have fixes based on community requests.
Well here is the biggest request I hear no-one talking about.
Fix the drivatar settings to where they don’t have traction control or stability control. I mean if I race on highly skilled or above I expect a run for my money, but not have to try every trick in the book to get around them cause they’ve got assists on. I’m tired of having to restart a race driving the same car as drivatars (knowing some of them aren’t even close in skill to what their drivatars do) because within the first 4 secs of a race they’re gone up the track in 1000+HP cars cause they get grip at 30MPH cause of TCS.
80% of the time?!?!? What game are you playing? The drivatars are way to OP. Everyone in my Car Club (TeamTreefer) is worse than me, so how is it that their drivatars are trying to beat me by 2-5 secs? It’s not their skill it’s Turn 10/Microsoft not realizing what’s been going on in the other Horizon’s.
I can confirm, I’ve been playing unbeatable since the game launched and they’re not really any challenge at all. I usually win with a 5-10 second lead.
Multiplayer functions should be solved first, as racing against bots doesn’t really give competition. The bots don’t even need to be fixed, you just need to drive better, use better cars.
“Use better cars”? You understand the way I build cars are prob the most fastest in VA, but even then I can’t compete against cars going 80+mph around a turn that if you use Sim steering, No Traction & Stability controls on a controller (not that 100lb hunk of crap elite controller) that there is absolutely no way to keep traction around turns and yet theyre facking hugging those turns like super glue.
This has been going on since Horizon 1 and its a travesty that years later its still not fixed… Update 3 needs to fix this.

Highly skilled is ridicolus easy, i use highly skilled drivatars when testing tunes so i can get pass of them in couple of first turns. Even unbeatable feels sometimes way too easy. I havent never use sim steering with controller so i give it a test, 5 lap race in bamburhg coast circuit, sim steering no traction or stabily control, automatic gears and stock xbox controller against unbeatable drivatars, i won by 11 seconds, i havent any problems at corners car handles corners really good. I was in first postion before even first lap was over. So it seems the way you build the cars it not fastest way, how abaout turning difficulty down a little bit if it feels that you cant handle that difficulty ai.
I race the AI’s at expert and above, depending on the event at the time. Offroad I still struggle with pro,but since I started doing my own tuning based on my driving style even expert is fairly easy now.
And when you don’t have the option to tune it, a predetermined car event for example, just run it a few times to get the hang of the car. Gas and breaks are your friend, learn to control that balance and you’ll dance around AI’s like they are standing still.
