I know this isn’t exactly about Horizon 2, but hoping someone here can help me. I have a Fanatec wheel and pedal set which has always worked fine with all of my driving games. I hadn’t played Horizon in a long time and went to fire it up tonight and got the message about new content (1000 Club Challenge) was available, so I downloaded it. But then when I got into the game, my gas pedal wouldn’t work. The brake pedal works because if I step on it and hold it, the car goes in reverse, so I know the pedal set is connected and the game recognizes it. But I can’t get the car to move forward. I checked all of the settings and I’m not on manual transmission mode, so it’s not the gear shifting I’m screwing up. Everything else on the wheel and pedals works but the gas. To make sure it wasn’t hardware failure, I put in Forza 4 and everything worked exactly like it should. Reloaded, quit, reloaded Horizon several times with exact same result. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting the steering wheel and pedal too. Even tried the Horizon demo figuring maybe that wasn’t affected by the new download, but even THAT is messed up the same way. So I’m thinking somehow, something in the 1000 Club download doesn’t work with my wheel/pedal hardware. Also tried to play the game with a regular Xbox controller and that did work, so it’s something with how the game is now reacting to my Fanatec hardware.
Anybody else heard of this problem? If so, what’s the fix? Also was wondering if there’s any way I can uninstall the 1000 Club Challenge download once I’ve done it. Just thought if I could go back to my prior setup it might work.
Please help. I miss playing Horizon!!
Thanks.
