[ Holty ] Open source tunes - 16/4/16 - Suki'S2000 A700 uploaded - All msgs replied

Hi i hope to be uploading some tunes in an open source format to help others race and also understand tuning.
Ive been tuning since FM2 and tuned and helped several teams and tuning garages over the years working with
other top tuners and painters include helping racers new to tuning…
With the storefront now like it is i feel its better share tunes and to help others keep a interest in the game.

  • All the tunes have been tuned for controller and no assists.
  • All tunes are manly for lobby use unless otherwise stated.
  • All tunes have been tuned for my style of driving so may not work for you but changes are free to be made.
  • As with other open source threads its considered rude to take the tune and upload to your own stf for reward.
  • Any questions please ask and hopefully can help.
  • All tunes and builds are in storefront keyword: Holty

Lee.

This is a medium to long track tune and makes for a good allrounder that looks good and sounds dirty…

This is a full grip tune for short to medium tracks with a surprising amount of grip and was tuned for Prague short reverse as part of a tuning battle with a fellow tuner
and was ranked 1st in division for quite some time but works well on other similar tracks.
Prague short reverse: #43rd 0.58.638 4th fastest S2000

Hi Holty ,

Great to see you back in action.
I haven’t had as much Forza time of late , but will build
this up and run it when I get a chance !

Cheers !

I’ve always loved the looks of this car and it has always been such a handful to drive! But I love your build and tune of it. Probably the best grip of any version I’ve tried. But I was having a hard time with consistency driving the car because of its tendency to want to slide out on entering turns while downshifting. I played around with the decel, mostly lowering it, and it just seemed worse. So I did a little research and upped the decel to 60. I LOVE it now. It really helped tame that sliding out behavior. (I just made the same changes to a TVR Sagaris tuned by gtFOOT. Same great results!) I’ve been running laps at VIR (set some PBs) and the torque of this little red beast is amazing! It is a little “Italian Muscle Car!!” And now it is much easier to drive and more controllable, for me, in those off camber turns with the high decel number.

Holty, thanks a lot for bringing this car back from the dead! It is such a beauty, and now it drives great!

Stop the presses! I just tried a suggestion from fifty inch and W4RLOCK38 to set the brake balance to 52 (from my usual 48). I then reset the decel value back to 35. I then set new PBs at VIR with the 8C! REALLY nice now! You learn stuff every day here. Again, the 8C is now in my bag is an A class weapon and I’m really happy about it.

Regards,
Snowman

I’ve been messing with the Porsches and the Porsche career story otherwise would have tried this sooner. I wish I had tried it sooner, it’s a very very good tune.

Solid in the fast corners and turns nice and sharp on the tight stuff. Pulls nice and quick through 2nd and 3rd gears.
Want more now Holty

1 question, the trend is to build without roll cage, what made you decide to use it?

Wonderful tune Holty, just ran it around Sebring and Road Atlanta .
Very planted and well balanced . I kept going faster with it every lap at Road Atlanta.

Lets see some more stuff !

Thanks for sharing !

Hi snowman really glad you like the 8c its one of my favorites too just coz of the looks and sounds and always nice to see others enjoying it and setting pbs aswell. Thank you for your feedback.

Thanks for trying sk15kev and for the feedback and as for the rollcage its more dependent on the car tbh and in some where you cant fit full tyres i find it helps stiffen the car to help with turn in and sliding. when building cars its always worth trying with and without a cage as your be surprised the difference it can sometimes make…

Nice to hear that mr fade im glad you like it. I hope your be sharing some soon aswell for me to try?
