Hello all. I am trying to finish all the events in FM4 and am now going through the tedious low class Championship Races (the ones with two heats per race). I admit that I’m hiring a driver for these races. I’ve also switched to my wired 360 controller for Windows to make sure I don’t have a disconnect due to my wireless controller running out of battery life. However, there is a weird issue.
After I select Hire Driver, and seeing the screen letting me know that hiring a driver will have the driver take a portion of the winnings, it brings me back to the pre race screen. I start the race, and my hired driver never switches out of first gear. No matter what car he is in, no matter how many gears the car has, and no matter what track, he always stays stuck in first gear.
Under the difficulty settings, I’ve tried having him race with automatic, manual, and manual w/ clutch. He still never shifts from first gear, staying stuck in first for the entirety of the race.
Needless to say, I’m at a loss for a solution to this. I hope you good people here can help me figure out what sort of error might be taking place.
