Hide and Seek game mode added September 2024

I was really surprised to hear a new mode was coming but it’s probably because they need to test it before putting it in FH6.

I also know Fable is next year but FH6 is starting to feel like it’ll be a early 2025 release. Can’t suddenly jump to a 4 year cycle after just jumping to a 3 year cycle.

I’ve chosen to expect nothing from them this time. Can’t be disappointed that way.

Horizon 6 will either be early 2025, or early 2026. No video game in any genre will want to release just before GTA 6 launches.

New content that isn’t the same festival playlist? Whaat? PG actually remembered to care about keeping the game fresh? Good. More of that and less of the former.

And still no hard release date for Fable or GTA6 but probably second half of the year. If FH6 is around February or March, it’ll have a little window to dominate before the summer titles come around.

I don’t think it should release next year at all I don’t mind waiting 2 years for a autumn 2026 release

How has this topic already died

The Honeymoon phase lasts about 2/2.5 years for horizon. After that every forum, subreddit whatever seems to dip down hard. Unless a new game comes out…

I feel like thats why they should focus on bringing stronger single player campaign/progression. They clearly cant capitalize all of our attention span for as long as they want, might as well deliver something more focused as opposed to a sandbox that often fails to capitalize most of its features.

Just lately they added highway and track props for example. How many eventlabs have you played or seen that used it? They would think players will be making many eventlabs with it. But the truth is very few players utilize these new additions.

The lesson here is: Just because they put time and effort into certain aspects of the game, doesnt mean players will engage with it. As a selling point for the updates, it probably does a great job. Yet players still refuse to actually play it. Cough, cough… the eliminator.

I’ll be keeping tabs to see if this new gameplay will actually bring players to engage. My best bet is that it would certainly do a great sales pitch as PG have mastered it by this point. But it certainly wont be for long. Only a new horizon game can fix the emptiness inside.

triple A game devs would all love to have the engagement of the MMO RPGs or the shooters genre and just keep us forever in the loop and make as much money as possible. Its kind of a positive thing that forza horizon doesnt have the same attention span, otherwise the game would be even worse for it. Just ask anyone who plays these games and they’ll straight up tell you how much they hate it.

Interesting idea…

Mine, in fact… Is Forza Horizon X Ridge Racer… which allows us to drive and show off Ridge Racer Cars either from a car pack or as Festival Playlist rewards…

However, since Draw and Drift, the franchise seems to be dead due to the terrible downfall since RR Unbounded

Why would they mix 2 franchises? That’s like asking for a Need for Speed or Gran Turismo pack

I mean… as a crossover?

Mixing two franchises is considered as a crossover.

Look at Halo and Hot Wheels! They had an appearance in Forza

I’m a PC and Xbox One X player so I fall into both categories but has MS/PG ever released platform demographic data on FH5 because it would interesting to know the percentages but given the Series console sales have generally been considered disappointing, there may be more Xbox One gen players than you would expect

If they haven’t, I doubt they would given that the One is now seen as “the platform which should not be named” given the marketing push on the Series consoles

My reasons for not getting a series console are the exploitative storage limitations and the fact there is currently no way of blocking the intrusive full screen or dashboard ads like there is on the One X

I do think that later consoles like the One X should be separated for releases from the Day One Xbox One (I own both) because they are in no way comparable

I get the feeling we shouldn’t expect it to automatically be a gaming related crossover given the wording “in-game partnership”

To me this is wording for a corporate product placement tie in like Barbie, Oreo etc. Just thinking what is trending now or is releasing in the next couple of months that could be included in the game. It could just be a random brand promotion rather than product promotion so we will have to wait and see but I’m not expecting anything meaningful

are those cars any special? i mean i never played

I want partnership with a car manufacturer

Do Microsoft and Namco even have a relationship of any kind currently for this to be possible?

I mean… These are fictional cars. Drift oriented ones
