The benefits of detuning is that you can sometimes get a high spec car in the class below on the cheap (great early on when credits were used to buy cars and not upgrade.

2005 Aston Martin DB9 A701 (i haven’t done this one as early on no credits and later why bother)
2000 Audi S4 C417 (front and back forza aero enough to make it D395 - can get lower with rims, diff to squeeze in a sport transmission but i can’t get the race trans.)

An AI chatbox was trying to tell me that the BMWs E46 and E92 but i think it was confused with FM3 or FM4 but if anyone can explain how do it, i be interested to know even if i can’t buy one.
The other car the chatbot was adimate? was detunable in FM2 is the Audi TT-R

I don’t have an option to “Buy Upgrades” for any Race class cars. FM3 & FM4 yes i have done it and raced ok when simulated damaged is turned off.
Anyway - any help to update list will be appreciated. Mateomax? did a great post for FM4 if interested.
