Okay so I finally got my t3pa pedals today already had my shifter so I went into the game to free play and picked the same exact thing I was playing last night track and car so I know its not a bug. But anyway so everything seems to be working fine but when I go load any race it freezes at the picture of the track and the it flashes corners temperature and everything then it just freezes. I have hard reset the whole xbox like 10 times. My other games seem to work fine. I really dont want to uninstall my game I dont want to risk losing my stuff. Also my internet sux so it would take all day to reinstall. Any ideas?
It could be bad sectors on the harddrive… If you have a usb hdd you could hook it up and move the forza install to it and see if it persists. Not sure what else to tell you besides uninstall and reinstall.
That’s what I was afraid of I dont have a usb hard drive so I guess I have to uninstall it.
The “hard reset” was shutting down the console with the X button on the front, removing the power unit from the wall, waiting until it all drains from the power pack (no orange glow), then reconnecting, wait for the pack to go into “standby” with the orange glow then starting the console as you normally do?
Yea I did that and unplugged the power supply as well. Been installing for 1 1/2 hours and on 6 percent.
Just wondering without kicking your shins; what is your “contract” with your ISP? As in, how many Mbps are you supposed to get? Microsoft advises 4Mbps downstream (roughly 512 Kilobyte per second) as minimum for entering/enjoying their current online services.
I can imagine that if anyone’s internet is slower than that or maybe even with older wires (ADSL copper, re-re-re-used ethernet and so on), it might cause tiny errors to be written while installing 40GB from the internet. These tiny errors might not show until you load a specific track or even a specific car.
Also, you started the topic with something about “flashing temperature”? This sounds more like a faulty batch of the console you gotten; have you contacted your local Microsoft support phone yet concerning this issue?
Also that shouldn’t happen like that because of how the protocols are set up when you download stuff in general. I also play the exact track setup and car setup the night before at like 11 pm.
I have clear internet it’s okay some of the time but only netflix seems to work great never any issues with that. It is 4g internet I have a disk copy of the game shouldn’t that help the install time? Also they throttle the speed after so much usage and my girlfriend watches netflix like its her job. The temperature I was talking about when the game is loading a track it goes through a cycle of things in the left hand corner once the track layout is displayed one of those is temperature. Also I have had no other problems like ever it is a day one edition xbox one.
I think this is a Forza issue. Been trying to get a game started with a group of xbox friends and we all have the same issue. Our locations range from UK to east coast US to west coast US and this has never happened before. Let me know if uninstalling and re installing works for you
So far I was on 11% and it said ready to start and did the same thing on Prague track im guessing its just a forza issue some how. I know some people say make sure you install the whole game before playing but ive never had an issue with this the first time I installed it or any other game so I took a chance any ways im tired of waiting to play the game.
