Hi Guys and Gals
If this is in the wrong forum then please remove to the right forum
Because of my recent exploits in Afghanistan i am now without my left arm and my left leg well lets say it just hangs there any way what i am after guys is i cannot use a controller so i use the Thrustmaster wheel and im doing ok on it.
As you can imagine the best cars for me to drive are the ones that do not skid all over so the Cateram with NoGoldie Tuning is what i use the most but its great round corners but on the flat is is like a snail so most races im always at the back don’t get me wrong i don’t want to win all the races but would love to be a bit more competitive
I would love any suggestions of any cars that are easy to drive but have a bit of speed in them and suggest what is the best tuning for them
as you might of guessed i have to use all the assists full brakes automatic and the rest
thanks guys looking forward to seeing if you can help me
I was going to suggest tunes by worm as he has some very nice competitive tunes yet pretty stable. He already beat me to it as he posted right above me. He will probably be your best bet. Anyway most importantly from an Air Force Veteran " Thank you very very much For your service and especially for your sacrifice " You are a part of the reason we have the freedom to have games like this. Always remember you are appreciated
Hi resident, if you get yourself the f1 add on wheel for the thrustmaster you can change up and down the gears with one hand. Just tried it and it works a treat. The flappy paddles are configured so you can pull them and push them.
Unfortunately my car knowledge is abysmal so can’t advise on that
Wish I could contribute, but I’m way less "un"abled than you (left thumb doesn’t work correctly) and am saving for a wheel myself. I would suggest looking at the Tuner’s Lounge section, and asking questions in there about the various cars. Personally, I use manual w/auto clutch because I can shift and control up or down with my right hand on the controller.
Big Big thanks from the bottom of my Heart for all the Kind comments and support was not expecting that you guys are the best thank you
@ worm yes A class is my fav but will go and try some of you c class cars and see how i get on
If you ever have the time would love to see what you could do with Tuning A class Maserati MC 12 2004 thanks worm
All I can offer is a ‘thank you’ for your service. As a Veteran aircraft mechanic who separated in good health, I am eternally grateful for your heroic deeds.
As a USMC Veteran, let me say, Semper Fi Priest. Thank you for your service brother, I am sorry to hear so much has happened, quite the price to pay for fighting for our Country. As far as what car for best competitive choice, I wish I knew, I do mostly single player and go with my own personal favorites. Ford Fiesta ST, old school escort, ect. I do decently enough for my skill level
I’m not very experienced racing online as I can’t seem to tolerate the crashers long enough to get some real experience.
That being said I personally find these cars and tunes enjoyable to drive in their respective classes:
A700_____________________Tuner____________Tune Name___________Other Info
2008 Viper SRT10 ACR……Raceboy77…………“a700 power”……………Also his tune “a700 s grip”
1995 Toyota MR2 GT………Hawk Almighty….“Good Fun”………………A rocket IMHO and easy to drive
1985 Ford RS200 Evo………Ma5hEd…………….“A700 v5 No Aero”….Faster………*Both have slight “hiccup” at the line
…………………………………………eR Tchoukx……….“y”……………………………Handling……*May find a better tune
I will add others and different classes if you are still looking in a bit. I hope you find a great car and tune.
I would now like to take the opportunity to Thank You for your service and sacrifice, bless you and yours.
Thank you for your services Priest. I cant express it enough how grateful we all are for what you have given to keep our country safe. as for some cars here is a link to find some builds that might help you out. They are from ONR ROADRUNNER so some of them might be a little slippery but you might find something in there that works.
If your looking for a fun tight fast car to drive in FM5. I would point you towards either the Lexus LFA or the Nissan GT-R, for very little upgrading you can turn either of them into something to have fun with … But right out the gate you can drive these two cars around like nothing else. They are fun to try driving with very little breaking. The Bugatti, P1 and koeingsegg are fun but those can get out of hand the faster you go and will need tuning to keep It tight on the track.
Thank you for your service, one fellow vet to another what you have given can never be replaced or forgotten.
Another vote for the Ford RS200 Evolution. This is my most-raced A class car. I’d start with a tune by Worm and then look at other tunes or try your hand at tuning your own. It’s a fun car to learn on (driving and tuning) because so many things seem to work well on it.
With a son in the Marines and a son-in-law in the Navy, I appreciate your service and your sacrifice. Thank you from a grateful nation.
any life where you can still play Forza is a good life indeed! lol
as for easy to drive cars, i would say try some AWD cars, the 4 wheel traction makes them way more forgiving and you can probably turn off the assists as well. i think most of the cars can be converted to AWD in FM5, or at least many of them.
also just curious, does your wheel provide force feedback when turning?
I love the dedication you have its amazing, where other would of gave up you buy a wheel and keep on with your life and forza…FANTASTIC!!
i would say the VW beetle in C,B,A class it can be fast and fun, i have a B class tune that is great, if not many people will tell you the F40 and F50 are very very easy cars to drive.
I hope you find the car you want and have many hours of fun driving in them
Hey dude, first thing i would say is play with the differential settings. I have neurological damage on my upper spine/left side, due to my own exploits, so i have some issues with steering. I get numbness, pins and needles etc. So i was having trouble with the new Forza physics, but i start off with my diff set at 60 accel/40 decel, and work from there. It can help immensely, and once you get practised at it, you’ll be able to make pretty much any car behave better. Some will always be way to tail happy, but i’ve made a lot of cars drivable by playing with the diff settings.
Something like a 4-wheel drive with a big engine or alot of upgrades to up the power.
4-wheel drive to manage the power and a low diff resitance would be nice. Keeps it
rolling trough corners while not sliding the car.
And yes a worm tune or something like that, if you want I could spend my time
tuning a car you particularly like and I’l make it work (hopefully). (A lot of laptimes
in rivals in top 1% sometimes top 200. So If I can help.
I’m from the Netherlands, but still I appreciate the sacrifice you’ve had to make. (As are alot of my friends
from Holland served there to.
