Why has the dart only got tyre compounds for rally and race?
Makes it a bit impossible to use for anything except for drag racing. The only way to get into A class with it is to reduce the engine to the point where it is unbalanced - too grippy / too slow.
The thing is still raceable in s1 or s2 but it is a barge and not competitive at all at that speed.
It is not a great rally car, although those tyres may be usefull for playground games.
And without stock tyres its not even good for drifting.
To top it off it has also lost the option for the tyres with or without the white lettering, so now its forced on you.
Still testing the engine tunes etc but have found no improvments there to make the car special. ( at this stage I will continue using the original dart for all purposes)
The Brat was also a let down with tyre choices cut back to rally only compared to the standard brat with all compounds. At least with the brat they gave an improved engine option, sadly no race tyres to make use of it. And no stock tyres for drifting. Again it rules out a balanced lower class tune. Just glad I held off buying that one for 5m - I almost pulled the trigger.
These are the first 2 HE cars I have seen this on, are there any others?
Maybe they just forgot to add them due to being 100% focused on adjusting the clocks
Most HE cars have improved wheel offsets and white letter choices, usually some engine upgrades too…why the cut backs?
many Muscle HE cars has their unique “stock” tires while most of these tires suited for A-Class with grip level that can’t be found in norm ver. It’s kinda similar story for Dart here except they shouldn’t have done it in 1st place. It’s best in A-Class with its actual stock tires.
Nevertheless it’s actually more suited to S1 with a famous power build that can get you to top of quite some leaderboards.
Supra HE has similar issue to Dart with excessive grip for S1 while can’t max out S2 even with extra V12 swap for HE.
The problem is that the devs obviously don’t really have the best idea about the “most competitive level” of grip to be assigned for various classes. If they’re just using Raceboyy77’s tunes as references (as it was Turn10 asking him to do the tunes) which are all overly handling biased for the online classes as he was applying the doesn’t-work FM6 logic, then no doubt the HE grips will screw up often.
BRAT S1 with Supra engine is actually a leaderboard car even on tarmac tracks if offroad cuts allowed(capable of #1 on a few). Even if without dirt it’s still above average as long as u can control it
Regardless, being a HE car it should have all compounds available and let us tune… Its a shame when the basic version has more options
I know i was being hopeful but i did expect the HE dart (considering its most common use) to have had something extra such as a blown HEMI option to equal the V12 so we can stop using the v12 for the drags, and possibly allowing different offset wheels front and back for the proper drag look, or at least a drag wing that was different - something extra at least was expected… it seems exactly the same with less options…sigh
Is it good or bad that I don’t care anymore? I just went online and popped all four, put the stock engine back in my Dart, drove around for an hour or two to test it out, and got off. Essentially, from here on out, nothing will be done on a car to car level. That includes specific upgrades and their effects on certain cars. The game is far too into life at this point and it wouldn’t benefit Turn10 nor PG to change anything major thus far. (Benefit as in increase revenue.)
If anything, they’ll lose money because they’ll change something too much and ruin it for everyone. That is, of course, based on the slip up with the clock thing early yesterday morning.
My point was not about changing things, it was about making a HE car special and not less special than the original car.
Specificaly less tyre options than the original car, cutting something back is a change at a cost to them, its program changes that were not needed.
I was just saying either dont change anything OR make changes for the better. NOT change something to be worse than it was - this i agree is a change that will not help them.
Maybe they just ran out of time because their clock was set incorrectly
PS: when they painted the old dart orange they painted the front guards the wrong shade…I should stop looking at this car
