Has the website forgotten about FM1?

It appears there is no forum for the first game in the series, what’s up with that?

We didn’t forget though, how can you?
If you have a few minutes spare and feel like watching someone who is (So he says) not that great at racing games try and beat someone who loves them dearly
Maybe you would enjoy viewing our new series in which we do exactly that.
This time it’s Forza 1.
RetroGameBros - Dale tries hard

I remember playing this game like it was only yesterday, I remember playing it for the first time and thinking how Gran turismo may see some serious competition.
That and that I wished the bumpers would actually come off the car when damaged, that always irritated me slightly.

I hope Forza 6 can bring back the series good name, not that I’ve played 5 myself but it does put you off when you hear what people say about it.

Sure its forgotten… Just like everyone forgets FM1 was 30fps

I think it’s more because no-one expects games from that generation to be 60fps.
it was entirely possible to make FM1 60fps, whether or not they would have had to cut track details down to do it is something I’m not clued up on.

That’s why I love F-zero X though. it sacrificed visuals for it’s still silky smooth racing, and it sure did pay off.

Im hoping to get it on an emulator

If you still have your 360 I’d recommend just getting a used copy of the game, I’m sure I remember backward compatability worked well with FM1 on 360.

I personally prefer playing on original hardware, at least then you know for a fact it is the original experience you’re getting.

I always hoped that it would have been re-released as an Xbox Arcade game title.

Well that’s because it was already backward compatable, I think.
It would only have a markup price if it was released as a digital download, much cheaper to just get a used copy and run it on 360.

also when are they going to bring over-revving damage back to the series? it made sense to me.

FM1 is backwards compatible with the 360, however, it has two bugs; the intro video doesn’t play correctly (it skips a lot), and you can’t repaint or add decals to your cars (it corrupts the car’s skin file).

IMO, it would be nice to have a re-release just for the sake of it being online compatible again.

FM1 may be forgotten, but the 10th anniversary of Forza isn’t.

Oh my god it is isn’t it! I didn’t even realise.

Now I feel bad for not remembering it’s 10th birthday.
What did you guys get it?
