A look to the normal leaderbuards, the top driver do either (in most cases) run no assist. So often the only difference to hardcore leaderbord is the “no breakline” setting. What also makes a hoge difference, and would make some cars a different thing when uses, force to cockpit view. For some cars this does make a huge difference i think. I do allway race cockpit view. But i do not often run R class. Especialy if you run the Peugeot 908 LMP … Thats’s … /&%$/§&%$ … I know, i’m bad in driving LMP’s, this was no assist, breaking line on.
I think Hard Coare should force cocpit view and keep the rest as is. No line should be used, I never use braking lines or track lines as many do not. There are track markers and the normal 300/200/100 and so on for most all tracks and all corners… and when not present on some ribbons, you just need to notice track edge/side rail/fence. I think hardcore should be just that… I’d also like to see a symbol showing if the user uses a wheel or a pad.

Yes, no brealing line is possible, just needs a lot of practice. And lot more than any other assist wsitched off. And just by coincidence, there is often something (like a cone or so) nearly exacly at the breaking point. What i really would like to see is online racing, car assists off and cockpit view forced.

Coming from someone who uses no assists at all i love the hard core lb. My tv is too small to make the cockpit a viable option, perhaps that is why they
left that out of hardcore
Feel exactly the same. I love driving cockpit, but the size of my TV dos make it impossible for some cars.
My only gripe is that you have to use Manual w/ Clutch for the hardcore leaderboard. Most of the cars in higher classes don’t even have a clutch IRL. It’s not “hardcore” to run a fake clutch that, for most people, just involves pushing 2 buttons to shift instead of 1. For some of us, it’s even easier (set the TX wheel to autoclutch mode).
Cockpit cam is way more hardcore than shifting with the clutch. I doubt they can filter for that on LBs though since it doesn’t dirty your lap to change camera views mid-lap.

You can’t force any of these options. What you guys are talking about is creating a new UI for the leaderboards alone which is something they will not do. As you know all these assists and views are options for us to get a good time. If they implemented a hardcore option in the options menu showing what would be forced then I can see your point but they won’t do that. All the leaderboards i suppose to do is show your best time and if the certain criteria is met for the hardcore LB on which turn 10 made then it will be considered hardcore. Everyone has a view they like and by forcing a view for certain people who don’t like it will drive them away from the game. If they are good driving from the outside more power to them and same goes for the people for in car or hood. Don’t worry about who races what view. If you can get a top time on the LBs then good for you.

Well, about view, my opinion may be a bit strict. Race = Cockpit, Free choice = Arcade

Any yes, especialy Cockpit does mak a difference. LMP Audi / LMP Peugeot - quiet comparable cars. But a huge difference when you drive from Cockpit. Test it !

T10 does not have to make a new LB, all they have to do is add Cockpit view… Bam, Hardcore!
