I have already completed 2 cross country events (exhibitions) but the challenge is not completed. I play on PC in Horizon Life session.

I’m having this problem too, finished a bunch of cross country events and won some of them but the green lane daily isn’t getting completed. The other 2, belt & braces and flight of the Valkyrie have completed.
I figured it out! The icon looked like the sprint events, so I did a cross country sprint and it worked! Grab that daily, my dudes!

Needs to be point to point cross country, not circuit.
Check the logo on he challenge page.

Then the challenge verbiage is incorrect. It needs to read “Complete a Cross Country sprint event”, not just a Cross Country event.

I will have to try this out, I did a couple of events and some were actually point to point races and didn’t get rewarded.
FWIW I was having the same problem. Green Lane was finally marked completed by racing the Beach View Cross Country race at the bottom-right of the map.
I just got it from doing Mountain Foot Cross Country in the northwest, so maybe it has to be a point-to-point race.
In fact, the icon on the challenge is that of a point-to-point race, so that’s probably it.
