One of the stalwarts of the British racing scene, Ginetta has also produced limited series of road cars since the 60s. The next one, called Akula (“shark” in Russian), will be the most exciting one yet. Powered by a 600 PS LS V8, the new Ginetta has carbon bits all over, including the tub. Thanks to that, it weighs just 1150 kg. The even more impressive number is downforce, 36 kg at 160 km/h, more than the LaFerrari and McLaren P1, and close to Ginetta’s own LMP3 cars. The Akula is set to be an impressive and unique addition to the supercar world, when it eventually gets built. The initial reveal was way back in 2019, so that should be soon…

Reminds me a bit of the Panoz Abruzzi but with more angles

The owner of Ginetta raced the Panoz Esperante GTR-1, the front-engined GT2 car, back in the day. So I guess the similarity is not entirely accidental.
