Ghost 1 Lap Down Drivers?

Would it be possible to ghost drivers who are 1 lap down to stop the wreckers who just wait around to crash people as the come around the track and pass them. Seems like a simple solution.

I suggested that on FM4, fell on deaf ears. It took quite an uproar to start the ‘T10 CrashTeam’ to ban wreckers back then, but the movement quickly died out, and the problem is back many times over.

The game ghosts you if you’re going in the wrong direction or slower than a certain speed. For now that’s it.

Sadly, if they ghosted people who are a lap down then it would automatically ghost everyone who isn’t in the lead at some point. PArt of racing is the traffic and not ghosting your way through people so I don’t see this coming anytime soon.

There no reason to be lapped in a 3 lap race. In real racing you would be black flagged if your where that slow.
I think turn10 wants the trolls to have fun too so they keep buying game.

I agree, for the hoppers full of idiots this would be viable. And then we could have collisions always on or normal for when we do our own longer races. Most of the time, drivers a lap down in short 3-5 lap races will end up taking out a leader, regardless if it’s on purpose or inadvertently. Just a few minor things can make a dent at getting rid of the worst of the worst online racers.

I also think you should give someone ghost if they cause a major hit or spin someone. Bumping is going to happen but that usually does not spin someone or throw them off the track barrel rolling. I try very hard to be as clean as possible with more emphasis on that than finishing good but I still accidentally bump. I’m just not that good but enjoy the racing. If someone bumps leave it as it is. If that happens say 3-4 times then ghost them or me. If a major hit happens ghost them immediately. If a car was crashed all those subsequent hits shouldn’t ghost someone as they didn’t cause the crash just were part of it. Only ghost the cause car for the rest of the race.
Just an idea.
