Maserati is re-using the Ghibli name (for the fourth time) so maybe it’s time to commemorate one of the greats from this manufacturer, the model known as the Ghibli Open Cup, after a two-season single-marque series of twenty years ago.
This race is sponsored by a (fictional) ski manufacturer on the (fictional ) Bernese Alps Club circuit, and we’re going in the reverse direction. This is not quite a spec race, but very close. Grab the tune (mandatory) from my storefront and you can also get a livery there (optional).
No hotlaps this time; race against other (stock) Ghibli Cups. Since you may not be able to get enough separation to keep the AIs from spoiling your lap, we’re not concerned with clean. Just post a replay and state which lap was your fastest one. How long you make the race is up to you. Please put “Ghibli Cup 2016” in the description.
I think you’ll enjoy driving with this tune. I did almost nothing to the powertrain, mainly improving the handling~ nice fat rubber, better brakes, etc. My lap was 1:35.658 and I’m sure you’ll do better, unless you leave the E-brake on.
No prizes for this, but there is something at stake besides the thrill of victory. Participants who post a replay will be eligible for a nice Maserati event in the near future. That one will involve some serious horsepower, so think of this Cup race as a qualifier.
